Silicon Power 2 Terabyte Solid State Drive

Solid state drive worth it.

In honesty I bought this because it was the best deal per terabyte for an M.2 drive. Yet after installation I found it had better speeds than the M.2 drive it was replacing (which was rated as being more capable). So this was a pleasant surprise for such a reasonable price. And it sure is a delight to have so much space for games with high-speed direct access to my GPU and CPU.

I used this drive to clone a laptop hard drive to a solid state drive. Worked well.

I bought this to replace an older Silicon Power drive which I accidentally buried somewhere doing landscaping work. I love how naturally they fit on a key chain. This version is a major upgrade, with it adding both USB 3.0 and an optional USB-C port in addition to the USB-A on the drive. Putting it in the USB-C position even makes it more compact than before. The speeds are also quite good. It struggles on mixed reads and writes, but sequential reads and writes are very fast. I highly recommend.

I recently got a SanDisk 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) and used a drive cloning device to clone my old 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to the new SSD. It works wonders in my 15 year old computer! It really speeds up drive-related activities, perhaps as much as 3 or 4 times faster. I think my old HP laptop computer is either a SATA or SATA II type, so I suspect those with a SATA III system would see even better speed results when going from a HDD to a SSD. Gotta love it!

This is an extremely reliable and easy to use Solid State Drive. Once initialized it's easy to clone form a Hard Disk Drive to this unit. Take out the old drive, insert this drive, and put your seat belt on.
