The Vpc1 is the best midi controller on the market. As per my research from other reviews on various piano sites, the included foot pedal really is garbage. Out of the box, it has a flutter which is visible in my daw and is audible. Shame on Kawai for not changing this pedal for all the years they have been selling the Vpc1. Many reviewers went through the process of returning the foot pedal and getting a new one only to find after a couple of weeks the noise and flutter was back. Mine is already on the closet shelf and my Roland rp 3 pedal arrives tomorrow along with a purchase of a Midi Expression iO to compliment the new pedal with the Vpc1. So if you buy the Vpc1, just know you may need to spend another $300 for the perfect setup.

I am throughly please with this keyboard midi controller. The action is so much like a regular piano. The build is a good quality, and while it doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles (which can sometimes get in the way), it performs flawlessly. This keyboard is worth twice the price. If you’re thinking of buying it, do it.

I use this microphone for DJing, plugs directly into my midi controller and sounds crystal clear.

I use it with my Yamaha Disklavier piano to stream midi directly from my phone. Even without Yamaha's own app, it just works right out of the box with the particular apps I've been using to stream.

I am a 65 y.o. male returning to keyboards who stopped playing the organ at age 12. It's never too late, right? This piano is very suitable for my needs. Easy to learn the functions. I especially like the Record feature. This keyboard is simply a pleasure to use. In fact, my father-in-law, a very talented musician, enjoys this Prestige Artist as well. His final words after putting this piano through its paces, was, This is not a toy. It's the real thing. And you're gonna have a LOT of fun with this machine! And he was right! I use this keyboard with a popular online learning application. NOTE: If you're planning to use the midi output by plugging it into an iPad gen 2's USB input, do NOT plug in the midi cord until after the piano has powered up. If you don't, your Alesis may not power up. The stand for this keyboard is perfect. Not only is it very stable and looks great, but it's super easy to take apart and move if you need to relocate your piano in your house. Just 6 easy screws gets the job done. Less than a minute with a power screwdriver, to lift the keyboard off the stand. Easy peasy.

I love the feel of the keys. Just like what I remember from my piano (still on the mainland, built in 1900, we have no room for it here). I've only just started exploring its use with my Linux-based software, so I can only state that having the full 88 keys back is WONDERFUL after decades of only 61 keys. A big part of the joy of piano is it covers the entire scale. Aftertouch works. I haven't done anything with the three joystick controls. When I first set it up, I didn't have a USB-A to USB-B cable, so I tried using my MIDI interface, but wasn't able to make that work. I have a history of being flummoxed by old-style MIDI cables, so I may simply have connected it up wrong. Then I found an appropriate USB cable, plugged it in, and things just worked. I like the keyboard. I like the fact that it's not loaded up with arranger software, instruments in ROM, or tied to proprietary Windows/MacOS-only applications. I look forward to playing it a lot!

this controller controls EVERYTHING would need it to, and is a cobination of a GREAT midi controller for beats, and an EVEN BETTER control surface...the key for me is the LARGE FONT LCD....no more squinting with reason, i dont even have much need to look anywhere else, it almost feels like a stand alone device....AWESOME NEKTAR
