Great stool for posing subjects, adjusting the photographer’s height, or just sitting. Adjustable in small increments. Collapses to almost nothing and the attached strap makes it easy to carry. Glad I got it. As usual, B&H provided prompt shipping.

Just the right size for studio lights when shooting studio portraits. Place the lights at the down to the right height when clients are sitting.

This has all the right height adjustments for sitting or standing and it is really easy to adjust. Has a big enough work surface and is attractive.

I bought this stand to use for a production monitor. The height is great for a sitting height and just enough for a standing height. When at full height it is a little top heavy and feels it could tip fairly easily. With a sandbag or two at the bottom that problem is solved. Overall great quality stand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son works from home a few days a week and his wife does as well. However they only have one work desk at home, so when they are both working from home, my son comes to our house, which is only a few blocks away to work. We had a makeshift arrangement, but just got this adjustable desk. He loves it! He can now work comfortably whether sitting or standing, which he likes to do in order to change positions, instead of sitting in the same position all day. His work is done entirely on his computer set up. He installed 2 screens on brackets that he attached to the desk and he brings his laptop, which offers a 3rd screen. The short "L" is very handy as is the pull out drawer and the clever addition of the shelf under the desk top that neatly stores the power cords and surge protector. I am quite handy and had no problem with assembling the desk, but other people might. It does take 2 people to assembly when it has to be flipped over, since it is quite heavy. Heavy is good however, since it feels very, rock steady. The electrical raising and lowering are so smooth and quiet. The preset height settings are handy for moving the desk top to the user's height. It is also handy since I use the desk as well and prefer a different height than my son does. We have all of these heights programmed into the presets.

Most useful for outdoor portraits especially when your subject is sitting or lower to the ground. I use this with a 24x36 softbox and the 30 height of the riser makes it perfect for getting that softbox low to the ground, and the 6.75 maximum height (plus the height of the turtle base legs) makes it easy to go from ground level to standing height. The bumpers on each section also help to soften the shock when collapsing the columns. It's light enough to carry around, yet heavy enough not to easily fall over.
