Slender White Bookshelf Tabletop

I've found this light shed to be exactly what I needed for my occasional tabletop shooting needs. Construction is of reasonably good quality and the light transmission and diffusion is excellent. The included cloth backdrops (once you iron the creases out of them) are very effective for getting solid black and white backgrounds while maintaining good exposure on the subject-- just white balance the camera and go. I was able to get solid whites with only two relatively small lights. The plexi bottom sheets included for shooting on a light table actually work nicely to get a little reflection going if you put a sheet of white paper under them. The openings provide reasonably good access to the interior, I managed to shoot martinis in here without spilling. The whole thing collapses easily for storage in the included carry bag. While there is zero documentation included, you'd honestly have to be pretty clueless to need it-- you just pop it open, attach the velcro hooks on the drops to the velcro loops in the shed interior, and shoot. My one gripe with this product is that the bottom is suspended above the surface you place it on top of by the sides, meaning that it droops in at the center, and even with the plexi plates in there nothing sits flat. You can overcome this easily by putting a book or other 1 thick object under your shed so that bottom beneath your subject rests on that, but it is still an annoyance. The fabric is fairly thin and suspended at a high tension, so I can't imagine the longevity of this product will be that great, but given the very reasonable price I don't see this as a deal-breaker. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who needs to do tabletop shooting without the benefit of a dedicated studio environment. 5 |

I wanted a slender, lighter, more compact flashlight that uses AAA batteries to carry at night. With our persiatently wet weather, it needed to be water resistant if not water-proof. The bulk of my experiance with Coast flashlights is with the G34, G19, and one of the worklights. The Polysteel sacrifices the high-power, sharp spotlight beam of those lights. The beam is broader and not as focused, nor is the light as brilliant. However, as a more general purpose light that's OK. The simple on/off switch function is perfect for my use, as is the momentary beam you get with a partial press of the switch. My favorite feature is the long battery life. Using it on a daily (or, is that nightly!) basis, it seems to be good for a month. I appreciate, too, that as the batteries wear, you get a warning in that the beam slowly gets dimmer over a few days. The more high-performance flashlights give you almost no warning. They get dim, then die within minutes. The polymer body seems well able to absorb shocks. I dropped mine on the pavement and it not only stayed lit, but there wasn't a mark on it. For the price, this is a nice bargain! I'm glad I bought two! 5 |

The slender profile is perfect. Plastic sleeve on the outside for slipping in an info sheet/logo to make your DVD look more professional. Cheap. Basically cents per case. The opening and closing has a good firmness to it. What’s there to say really?! It does the job it’s designed for. I’d have no problems buying this item again. 5 |

Move over Pelican! The new kids are in town! It's lighter, the divider works beautifully (slender but protective), you don't skin your fingers locking/unlocking the locks, durable, handle is of better design. Great wheels. And with great pricing! 5 |

I bought this to use with a slender ribbon microphone that I'd built from a kit. The slender cylinder shape made it difficult to use with many shockmounts, but it works great with this one.B & H also had it for almost $ less than its competitors! Thanks B & H! 5 |

got this as a gift with a purchase. This pen has an excellent weight that most slender pens don't have. Love the way it feels 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband was wanting to add a soundbar to our living room TV and I was keen that it would be something that fits in well with the rest of the TV and sound systems already there. Did not want an monstrosity that would be out of place and not fit in well. I am glad to share that the Samsung S700D sound bar he installed is just nice. Slim, slender and a bonus, no dangling wires all over the place. No ugliness, no misfits, just perfect. And the sound it puts out is equally nice and clear. I think it took him about five minutes to set it all up. I was watching the NBA playoffs when he was setting it up and the only interruption was loss of sound and picture for 30 seconds when he set up the sound bar and got it connected to the TV. The black color of the soundbar goes with the black color of the TV and sound system we already have and it just rests nicely under the big screen TV. I would think it would be quite beautiful as a wall mount which we are considering. The shape and size reminds of the Wii sensor bar that we got our kids many years ago. Quite slender and non-intrusive. I am glad that he got this beautiful looking and sounding Samsung bar....just perfect for what we wanted. 5 |

A nicely slender filter, of the familiar B+W quality, mounted to a Summicron 28mm 2.8. I've used other sizes of this filter on other lenses, and the multi-coating and build quality are in my view ideal. 5 |
