I've had the lens a week, have shot nightclub acts, birds, race cars, general nature, and assorted other subjects. It is sensational. I shot directly into the midday sun at a flock of hovering pelicans. Had the camera set at 1/90 sec, f/27 because my main theme at the time was panning with race cars. Although the lens probably was diffraction limited, the images are sharp and contrasty, and although there is dramatic lens flare, it is controlled and in my opinion, aesthetically pleasing. This is a lens with more optical personality than most, one that I feel I'm in a kind of dialogue with, discussing how to make an extraordinary image. I had the earlier Nikon/Tamron 70-300 zoom, and while it was good, this one is far better. Also, I tried the Nikon 80-400VR lens and came away suspecting the 70-300VR would be better overall. It is. Now: It doesn't feel like the fine, beautifully machined metal Nikkors of yore, but it doesn't weigh nearly as much. Those big heavy metal lenses are treasures to hold and fondle, but I got really tired of lugging them around back in the '80s! Look macho with a huge lens if you want, my friend, but after a day-long event you will be less tired and more ready for good work if you have these lighter lenses made of modern plastics. Learning when and how to use the control buttons is a process that will take a while, and the lens hunts frustratingly, often shifting focus unpredictably, when looking into a 3-dimensional subject, such as a bird among tree limbs. For that, manual focus is necessary and I wish the manual focus ring were a little further from the camera body. All in all, an excellent tool with which I look forward to thousands of exciting photographs.

I use several of these to mount consumer miniDV camcorders in race cars and the cameras simply don't move under normal use. They're so sturdy that when a car took a hard hit on the right rear into the wall the camera only shifted a fraction of an inch. Good: Very strong and solid. Articulates to a wide variety of positions for flexibility in mounting. Padded clamp does not mar surface it's mounted to. Not so good: Kinda heavy. Cannot move a camera into every position one might want, but one would be hard pressed to find a more solid and flexible mount. Highly recommended for this use.

This floor mat increases traction for all types of race cars, both on the road and off. As a result, cornering speed is much improved, as well as acceleration and braking. One of the best investments for any aspiring sim racer.

This is a must have add on for any thrustmaster T series wheel. I have driven Indy cars and other race cars and this comes incredibly close to simulating the actual feel. The adjustability and mapping options let you really personalize the feel and function of the wheel ( more functions if used with PC) very pleased with the feel, function and overall quality. If you are serious about race simulation but aren't ready to spend thousands of dollars than but the T500rs with this add on.

this harness is perfect for my photography shoots on the sports field and race tracks. it's very comfortable to wear and holds my lens securely and well priced.

I film Sprint cars at dirt tracks. For my audio feed this is a great product. I can add and subtract lenghts as needed for any given track environment to reach my setup area.
