Slow Data Transfer To External Hard Drive

This external hard drive are that I was looking for, very faster data transfer, very well build... I bought it to storage pictures on vacations. I had to formatted it before use, don't care the software that come with..I delate everything it work perfect with my macbook pro. As always the B&H delivered it very faster, the best customer service in the world,,

I've been using LaCie drives for about 25 years. These drives have always been very reliable. This drive is no exception. I recently replaced my 2013 MacPro with a new Mac Studio. When I replace my machines I also replace my external hard drives. Externals don't last forever. I feel that after 5+ years it's better to be safe than sorry. I bought this drive to use to hold my main data. Data transfer was reasonably quick. Editing photos stored on this drive I have not felt data transfer is slow or unreliable. Overall I highly recommend this LaCie external hard drive.

High capacity external hard drive. Quick transfer of data + very quiet. Excellent rubber padding makes it a bit more bulky, but so much more secure, especially when traveling. Would certainly recommend to a friend.

Bought this to transfer all my data onto a larger SSD drive. Now I'm using the old SSD in this to use as an external drive.

Got it for a usb3 hard drive. Data transfer works good.

My four year old lap top was slow and contained much that I did not want to lose. In considering replacing the disk drive with solid state I was concerned both by the need for easy physical compatibility and data transfer to a new drive. With this 1TB unit from BH I quickly resolved both issues. Only the time taken to transfer data ( and the need for an intermediate unit to effect transfer) was an issue. One that in the event was easy. A great unit !

I used this to transfer data from my old laptop Hard drive to my new one for my Macbook Pro early 2011. The adapter made data transfer so easy and took the guessing game out and worry out. I had no data loss and you could not even tell once the transfer was complete that you even switched hard drives. It's just like there was a hard drive in there all this time. The only issue I had was since my laptop runs on usb 2.0 the transfer was slower but if I had a usb 3.0 connection I'm sure the speed would have been quicker.

Simple to use and very quick to transfer pictures and files from old external hard drive.

Transfer speeds are a little slow but it's a good drive.

Purchased this to transfer photos from another WD 4TB external hard drive as a backup.
