Sm57 Versus Sm58 Wireless Microphones

I have previously owned a myriad of microphones: from the sm58, sm57, beta58 to the e965 and the e945, and I must say my favorite mics are the neumanns (kms 105 and 104) and the Shure ksm9. There is no despute the quality of this mic and the wonders it does to my voice. I cannot stress this enough. I thought this mic would be a little bright for my taste, but the highs are very controlled and tasteful. I sometimes don't even need eq for this mic. I don't know if it has to do with the phantom power it's being supplied with, but it feels almost as if this microphone has a brain of its own and understands the nooks and crannies of my voice. It's like I'm communicating with the mic and it seems to project my singing so beautifully. Singers, buy this mic and never look back. True piece of art. Bravo, Neumann.

This mic is build like a tank much like its SM58 sibling. Its an all around good mic, but might not be the best pic for instruments (see SM57 / Beta 57 for that), but has been working super well with really good background noise rejection.

When you open the box containing these, you will think you are looking at a Shure SM57 microphone, first of all, and they are in every aspect very close to the sound of the SM57's, though they are 1/10th as expensive..!! I am using these Pyle PDMIC78's to mike my drums...even the kick drum sounds great...I learned all this from a video on YouTube (see YouTube URL below) ..but let me clarify...though these mikes are inexpensive, I wouldn't say they are CHEAP in quality at all.....I set these up with my drums using the Glyn Johns technique, and you can find that on YouTube (see YouTube URL below)..and it all works VERY well for recording and live applications, as well as just for studio jamming..if you are on a tight budget and need some inexpensive microphones, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these PYLE PDMIC78 microphones...!

A very good package using still one of the best dynamic microphones in the Shure SM57 after almost 50 years.

I have been a professional vocalist/entertainer for over 30+ years, and have performed with many different brands of microphones. The e835 has got to be one of the best sounding microphones I have ever used. It delivers a clean, crisp sound ... and will enhance your vocal quality. In my opinion, this microphone surpasses the legendary and popular SM58 , for live vocal performances ... hands down! If you like the SM58, you're gonna LOVE the Senn e835!!! It's now my favorite go to mic. This mic will not disappoint!!

these windscreens are a quality product. i use them on my Shure SM57 microphones. they are simply placed over the top of the microphone & have a snug fit.these windscreens differ from the Shure brand windscreens in two significant ways. first, the Shure brand is far more expensive. second, the Shure brand requires a small, eyeglass-type screwdriver to lock the windscreen onto the microphone (the shure brand windscreens can be seen on any presidential podium since 1965).WindTech has provided a much easier, cost-effective, & acoustically transparent way of eliminating unwanted wind &/or pop noise from your microphone.

I use this model for monitoring and mixing in my studio. These headphones are the best I have ever used and goes right along in the same category as the SM57 microphones. Best sound and amazing price for the performance!

I bought this microphone because I was in need of microphones to record guide tracks for choirs. I needed a simple mic and the SM57 look is perfect because it's plain and simple. This is not an SM57! And it doesn't need to be because it is still a great mic. I use it for individual voices on choirs, voice overs, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, ukuleles, and drums. Because it's a dynamic, it isolates the sound fairly well. I love this microphone. I own 3 of them all from B&H. I own a studio and actually don't even own even one real SM57 because I don't need it. This does a great job. I have plenty of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Recording. I've also used them on kick drums and they sound surprisingly well. I've also used this microphone at a live event where the speakers were using these microphones. The only thing that I can list as a con is that the connector at the bottom became loose. All I had to do was push the little plastic plate that holds the xlr pins in and problem solved!

I have three of these stands, which I use with the K&M 21140B boom.  That boom is small and light enough that lighter microphones (Shure SM57, etc.) can be used with no problem.  This is a high quality piece of gear, and excellent for portable use due to its small size when collapsed, and its light weight.

Been using these on SM58 microphones for live performances and when recording audio for video projects. Never had a problem using them. They've been very reliable.
