I use this for my Small HD Focus monitor on my Black Magic Pocket 6K camera setup. It plugs into a Core AB battery plate and I can power my monitor for hours.

I've had this camera since Dec '06 and I am very pleased! People keep saying the ergonomics are no good because it's too small. One of the reasons I bought this camera is because it is so small so I can shoot quality HD footage in situations where I can't take a large pro camera and also to have a convenient to carry HD camera on vacation. I took it on our trip to Hawaii and it was a pleasure. I got a small pouch for it that clips onto my belt and I kept the camera with me the whole time. It weighs almost nothing and is super easy to handle and even to hold steady.It creates an absolutely beautiful image.My only real disappointment is that it does not have any external mic input. If it did, then I would be using this even more on my professional shoots where I need to interview people or record wedding ceremonies. I have used it as a second camera on my pro shoots and it provides great footage for that. If it had the ability to plug in an external mic, then I would sometimes use it as my main camera on my pro shoots.I have not encountered any problems with lines as one of the other reviewers mentioned so I am sure that was just a defective unit of his. He should have just exchanged it for a new one. The first one I received did have a scratch on the LCD monitor so I exchanged it for a new one which was perfect.it would have been nice if it came with an off-camera battery charger, but not a big deal as you can just buy one pretty cheap.Definitely purchase the largest battery available for it as the included battery doesn't last very long. This is just what I wanted in my first HD camera. The small lightweight design is easy to carry and I didn't even have to read the manual to get up and running with my first video - very intuitive! My only problem was importing and converting the files once I transferred them to my mac. I might need to use an external mic though for better sound quality when there is background noise...but I don't think that is specific to this model.

Powers my Small HD Indie 7. Love that the power supply threads on so it will never come out while whipping the camera around or run and gun handled stuff. Seemed to be the only cable I could find for my application. Indie 7. on a Red Komodo. I don't like using the dummy battery style

Never an issue with these and I use them for professional applications with lighting and on camera monitors by Small HD and Atomos. Long lasting and trustworthy...

All I can say is this camera produces great video under most all conditions. I have nothing but praise for this model, the price, the quality, ease of use, and of course the HD video.It is small and light and very easy to carry around.You just have to get use to the fact that it is very small and learn to grip it so it's more comfortable to hold.Some guys have bad things to say about the low light video, I find it very good if you play with the settings.This HF200 had everything I was looking for in a very affordable Canon HD flash memory camcorder.The only thing I added to the camera was a larger capacity battery, U/V filter/lens protector and I also found the Sunpak 37mm .5 wide angle lens works perfect as long as you don't use the zoom beyond 2-3x.The lens is also small enough to not interfere with the flash or video light and it also does not affect the IAF. Unlike the big and heavy Canon w/a lens.As many have said the one thing they would have liked to see in this model was a wider lens.The Sunpak (SKU 7726482) CAL-1030KITBB makes this camera all it can be. I would buy this camera again in a heart beat.For me this camcorder is 5 stars all the way....

If you want to select the best 7 camera mount field monitor available, spend the extra and get the Small HD 702. It has two settings for brightness, the standard one for studio and an extra bright one for outdoor film making, in the sun. Couple with a SmallRig cage and shade, you will not regret this. It is a serious piece of equipment, well built out of a solid piece of aluminum. Two mounts for Sony Type L batteries. Full side HDMI i/o. Then the fun begins when you make pages with your favorite LUTs or evaluation tools. No regrets. Spend the extra bread and be happy.
