Recorded eight piece jazz band into my Tascam, no hums or glitches of any kind.

Came home from shooting a jazz band in a dark club in Bangkok and found that my 50mm Summicron with built in hood no longer sported its Leica pinch cap which must have fallen off and rolled away unnoticed into the shadows. This cap is a perfect fit, just tight enought, and I'm sure it's not going to do a runner like its distiguished predecessor. I like it so much that I ordered two more from B&H for my 90mm Tele-Elmarit-M and my 135mm Tele-Elmar respectively, both of which have rather annoying detachable hood and lens cap combinations that make them rather fiddly to change and the stock lens cap doesn't fit without the hood. If you want to avoid the hassle of these hoods, the Kaiser 40mm push on cap is the ideal replacement.

I play drums in a Blues / Jazz jam band. I needed a simple stand for a Shure SM57 microphone to record the kick drum. Other short stands with a boom have to be contorted to line up with the resonant head's port hole (8 from floor to dead center). Coupled with a standard Shure mic clip, the Auray stand is perfect! The weight of the base is substantial and the price is right.

I am an audiophile who enjoys spending evenings immersed in jazz, classical, big band, classic rock ... a wide range and wide variety from my recorded collection and subscriptions. I could not justify professional headphones, but these are PERFECT for those occasions when the rest of the household does not want to hear my music.

For such small speakers I’m enjoying every instrument in my music. I’m an avid jazz lover. Very pleased. The sound is crisp & clear.

I play shows and small jazz gigs as a full time 40 year professional, this speaker is wonderful, feather weight, punchy with plenty of power. I can hear the bass drum, keys, horns and vocals perfectly. It sits on the mike stand where I can reach it to make any small adjustments and it's so lightweight that I can easily move it around with one arm. The case is overpriced for what it is but provides space for a mike, mike cord and microphone, so it sits complete, if I need a monitor I just grab and go. Can't say enough about wonderful things about B&H, they are very helpful, patient and knowledgeable, the speaker got to me across the country in 2 days! Love those guys and love this little 6lb. powered monitor. In medium or small gigs it's perfect, should of bought it years ago. Thank you Mackie snd B&H!

This little mixer was perfect for my jazz trio with two vocals and electric piano. I was looking for simple, small, and quiet, and all three criteria were met. Like a lot of small devices, it has the 'wall wart' power supply which is the only negative for me, but that is a very small negative. The reverb/delay helps 'room up' the vocals which helps especially outdoors in a small setting.

For small combo work with a hollow-body jazz guitar, this amp has a great clean tone and in small rooms plenty of power even at its 40 watt rating. It must be extremely efficient because I have yet to go beyond 1 on the volume.

I love it! It's just what I needed for that extra jazz in my photo's.
