Small Passive Speakers

I replaced my passive Logitech computer speakers with a pair of the Audioengine A2+ speakers and a small 6.5 powered subwoofer. This is a great combination for listening to streaming videos and music in my small office. I use the USB input for the signal from my computer and the RCA outputs to send a signal to the powered subwoofer (Acoustic Audio PSW-6 purchased separately). Shown in the pictures on the Audioengine DS1 stands. The only con is the volume knob is on the back. I would purchase them again.

The speakers arrived quickly and in excellent condition. The speakers themselves are excellent and I'm thrilled about the purchase. They are passive speakers, so setup was very simple -- I just had to run some speaker wire to both speakers from my amp. Best pair of speakers I've ever owned. Thank you B&H for your excellent tracking experience. It was fun tracking the package's journey.

.I switched over to QSC powered speakers from traditional passive speakers that needed an amplifier or powered mixer Sure, using powered speakers is more convenient but that is only the beginning. The QSC's SOUND GREAT! Warm, clear and wonderful. The K8.2 is small and easy to transport, but the way they sound is the main reason I love them.

I have been using 4 separate devices (6 RU) between my console and amps and passive speakers. A 31 band graphic, comp/lim, PEQ and active 3 way crossover. I purchased a DriveRack PA2 and loaded the latest firmware version, 1.2.0.0. This 1 RU processor has all of my existing functionality plus the ability to compensate for crossover delays and physical alignment of the drivers. My PA never sounded this good before. Proper phase alignment of drivers at the crossover points makes a difference that you hear.

I have 2 of them in a passive bi amp setup with Fluance's reference speakers and it sounds fantastic. These amps have everything I wanted. Real buttons to contol volume and tone, lots of inputs, analog and direct mode, bluetooth, DAC, and nice look. The remote is too big and lack bass and treble controls but other than that it is a great integrated amp and very capable of delevering good sound. Having 2 of them in bi amp is amazing, lots of power reserve. I recommend this amp 100%

I own a pair of both the Mackie SRM 450 passive and active speakers (same size). I already owned these covers for my passive speakers, but not the active ones. My passive speakers still look brand new after hundreds of gigs thanks to these covers. I started playing some outdoor gigs and wanted the same great protection for my active speakers. Also, these covers make the speakers easy to carry. Just make sure your set the speaker into the cover in the correct direction (bottom speaker facing right side) for the best fit.

A passive a/b switch. I use it to be able to use one set of computer speakers with 2 different PC towers. It does not and any noise to the signal. Highly recommended and easy to connect.

Because this is passive, one can boot from it.

Small, lightweight and totally passive (no power required), this thing is awesome for a get out of jail (or even a primary) phone bridge interface for audio. Like most PBX style phone hybrids, you need to find the right balance between the output and the input to reduce cross talk inside the phone circuits (like 12 o'clock on both knobs if you're using a proper, pro-line level output and going into a preamp to compensate for the return). And the small things are great. You can dial and punch codes in all while hearing it through your audio system rather than having to disengage and re-engage the box itself. If you do a lot of teleconferencing at properties where you don't necessarily know the telecomm before hand (maybe it's VOIP, maybe it's analog, etc.) you definitely want to keep this with you!
