Small Split Air Conditioners

I often record in my apartment or at the studio where I work - there is a ton of background noise like traffic, air conditioners, and creaky floors. The high pass filter for perfect for filtering those consistent background hums. Of course, a little fancy editing too. Arrived right in the delivery window, customer service from B&H is great as always.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a lifesaver especially during the summer when everyone is blasting their fans and air conditioners and risking outages. I’ve had my power go out multiple times in a span of a week and I had enough time to save everything I needed to. The size also helps as my small apartment is already pretty cramped.

Small and bright. It goes everywhere with me, even by air.

Small split rings are hard to find and I like to use them with camera straps.

I was looking for a handy device to split the headphone output. The purpose: recording vocals at my home studio, while I monitor the tracks.I couldn't find a passive split solution, so went for a splitter with active circuit in it.HA-400 is very affordable piece of hardware. I like its sturdy construction. It is small to fit well in a small corner on my desk. 1 to 4 split is more than I needed. Individual volume control is really nice. The sound character changes a bit one way or another, but the difference is very small in my case (Quad Capture and Shure SRH 840). I bet my vocalist will never notice it. :)Overall, HA-400 is pretty good for its price. One piece of advice, HA-400 does not come with any audio cable. You might need to purchase a cable separately to connect HA-400 to your audio interface (which can be easily forgotten at the checkout).

I shoot an Olympus OM-D E-M10 II and have a total of 4 prime lenses, mostly the small f/1.8 series. I added an extra divider from another bag to split one of the compartments in half so the bag now carries the camera with one lens, two other lenses in the split compartment and a fairly long macro in its own compartment. There is even room for the small FL300R flash. The shoulder strap is fine and I occasionally wear it as a waist pack with a web belt. Worn either way, changing lenses on the fly is fast and easy. It makes my all-prime lens system work smoothly.

I use these to split my mics between a monitor mixer and the front of house mixer. These small boxes are made in the USA and built like a tank. They do their job well without coloring the sound and also double as a mic combiner in those situations when you have run out of mic channels on the board. I have a few Rolls boxes in my toolkit and they are solid and dependable little problem solvers.

This tripod design is so well thought out. It weighs nothing, it’s sturdy and it folds down so small. The split center column is great for low shots. The ball head is really well thought out. There’s a panoramic adjustment on the clamp on top and if I adjust the ball to portrait mode and mount my 40-150 f2.8 or 100-400 lens collars on in this position I can shoot like I do with a gimbal. Saves a lot of weight and space traveling with its versatility. Love the quick deployment
