Great for landscapes. I also use this for shooting diving operations aboard small boats.

I bought this so I could mount the GoPro on our balcony during a cruise. The bars turned out to be too small, but I did use it on some other little boats we went on.

We have 10 of these for cameras and research gear that we take 40-70nm offshore in small boats. They take a pounding and are constantly covered in salt water. Despite limited maintenance, they continue to keep everything inside dry and in tact.

I used it in an outdoor shoot of small boats in a harbor and was impressed with the image quality. Even when up close, the angle was wide enough to capture the entire boat. If you're not used to a wide angle lens, then you'll be surprised to learn that you have to get up very close to the subject to emphasize it in a shot. The images are tack sharp, and the colors in bright sunlight are vivid. I found it to be an excellent walk-around camera and would definitely consider taking it on trips along with a few others lenses.

Where a tripod is not an option such as in small boats, etc. The size, weight, resistance to flexing even when loaded with 16 pounds of camera gear and ease of use. The locks are functional and all can be grabbed with one to extend the monopod. When the locks are released, all the sections slide open when in the vertical position without a need of having to extend them by hand. The spike at the foot is retractable by twisting and covered by a rubber foot. But the rubber foot does not extend enough and when used in a marble floor, the spike may slip.

Use this for boats or traveling with anything to keep smell out or in ;)
