I’m using to mount an APSC camera to cstand for difficult-angle product shots. Very solid. Works as advertised. No complaints. Helps us make money. So basically the perfect tool.

When I switched to the Sony a6000 from my old Nikon D40, it was a whole new world. From the sensor quality, to the form-factor and autofocus speed, it felt like a gigantic leap forward. Switching from Sony APSC to this a7c felt much the same. It's quite incredible how small and lightweight this camera is given the sensor and results you get with it. As someone who uses it primarily on hiking and walking around, pairing this camera with Samyang's tony series of lenses has renewed the joy of bring my camera along everywhere I go. As time went on with my APSC setup, I acquired better lenses to improve the low light performance, thus making my setup heavier and bigger and negating the one aspect that I absolutely fell in love with: the size. With the a7c, its low light performance is so good, that I can combine the smaller, slightly slower lenses with its high iso performance to get the results I want, in the form-factor that's convenient for me. If you're debating whether or not the upgrade from sony apsc is worth it, just buy it without hesitation. It's an incredibly versatile, one-of-a-kind camera that has almost no weaknesses. Bonus points if you find one in B&H's used section; that's where I got a good enough deal on mine that allowed me to sell my a6400 and recoup a huge chunk of the cost of my a7c. The condition was basically brand new. Couldn't be happier.

Having joined the E-mount APSC ecosystem I've been waiting for years for any company to make a compact relatively affordable standard zoom lens. Been rocking the a6xxx line since I started photography and never saw the point of having a convenient compact camera with an oversized lens attached to it (seems to defeat the purpose). I dont print or do professional work and all my images are viewed on screens of various platforms so the sony 16-50 kit lens and collection of sharper primes has served me well. Now comes sigma with a compact, sharp, f 2.8 lens. The image quality is great and even with APSC sensor you can still crop a good amount with good image quality. F2.8 is also good enough to have great bokeh in your images. Most importantly its reasonably sized for the a6xxx cameras. The only negatives would be the fact that it does not have stabilization and there is occasional chromatic aberration depending on angle/light. But for the price and size those are reasonable compromises. So if you're in market for appropriate sized lens for APSC camera thats sharp in the standard zoom lens definitely recommend!

Awesome camera. After years of buying apsc and budget full frame cameras, I finally got the best full frame 24mp camera there is. Ergonomics and image quality are fantastic. Autofocus is stellar. The camera does everything I want it to do for photo and video. Buy nice or buy twice.

This lens hasn’t left my camera since I got it! If you have a Sony APSC it is a must IMO The 45mm equivalent focal length is perfect for street, travel, and even portraits. The f1.4 is a game changer when that sun starts to get low or really want some separation in your portraits. This is the all around daily lens you have been looking for. Easy buy!
