Smart Media Adapter

If you want to use a third party mic with a Hero 9, you need the Media Mod for Hero 9. This adapter does not work with the Hero 9 as of this moment, unless you have the Media Mod, which means that you don't need to buy this, because the Media Mod already has a 3.5mm port for your external microphones. I received a message from GoPro support by email, where they clearly said that this adapter requires the media mod. Which is contradicting to the purpose of the media mod. If you have the media mod, you don't need this adapter.

From usb to micro usb capability is awsome...I go from files on my chromebook to files on my cellphone to files/media to my smart tv.

I think Tripplite is a great brand for surge protection , when I was doing all the structured media in my newly constructed "smart home " , I wouldn't use anything but Tripp lite in my data panel. Solid metal and professional construction , not to mention the insurance offered with the product. I haven't had any problems with any of my products but I hear the customer service is outstanding. Will defiantly buy again .

I bought this adapter to use with my vlogging rig. I prefer it over the media mod due to the Florida heat. This mic adapter doesn't cause GoPro overheat.

It is always stunning to see jaws drop, when I pull this CF adapter out and extract the 128GB of SDXC storage within. It allows me to use my media across to different camera body media slots.

We use these all over an entertainment attraction to play videos on media players connected to TVs. Having the adapter included is convenient, though at this point we admittedly have an excess pile of adapters.

Thunderbolt 3 Male to Thunderbolt 2 Female Adapter works like a charm! The speed is definitely there, we work with large media files and really needed this adapter, arrived as scheduled too. Thanks B&H!

Despite having the media of case, I needed this to use goooro 8 black in a different case designed for vlogging that has a T ring adapter to allow attachment if the GoPro to an autocue setup. Works well and fits snug. Only criticism is the stiffness of the cable. I think after related uses this will eventually snap. Could do with either being a little more flexible or just slightly longer to it’s not under such tension.

If you have the Media Mod then there's no need for a Mic Adapter to use External Mic. External Mic can be Plugged into the Media Mod as there is Slot available in the Media Mod to connect the external mic and it works perfectly alright.

If you've got a recent Sony camera that has a smart hot-shoe (check the list...mine was on it), this adapter works great with the Sony Digital Receiver(s) to transmit audio directly without need for another wire. Super cool for gimbal work.
