Smartphone Headphones With Mic

For some reason, I brought a TRRS male to TRS male cable with mic (primary used for old Sennheiser HD485), and I saw this headphones in BH store, and tried it with the cable I brought, and I was surprised how good the sound even with a smartphone (I tested with few YouTube music videos). After I tried with few YouTube music videos, the store started to close, and OK, go for it and I was the last customer left with this HUGE headphones. I put it on when riding train. Sensitivity is actually enough for both music and phone call, but due to the size, it's recommended to listen it at home or office (this headphones is pretty comfortable for extended phone talking with boom mic). After I got in my friend's home, I spent a lot of time to listen to some local music made from CD in FLAC format, and I am blown away how good the sound is (it has a lot of bass but it's not muddy at all) and I like it more than Sennheiser HD598 and ESP500. I planned to buy Sennheiser HD600, but I worry sensitivity is too low for smartphone. The phone is capable with 32bit/192kHz with PowerAmp. Open Air design can let me hear anything around me. Get additional cable with TRRS male to TRS male with mic (or boom mic) and have fun with your smartphone or tablet. 5 |

I purchaased these headphones as a replacement to a pair I lost. The sound was really good for a pair under $. Although I never used them with my smartphone, it does have a Sony Smartkey App so you can control your Android phone. I couls have spent mush more, but these deliver all the bass response, mids and clear highs I need. The sound is superb. 5 |

Originally had bought a right-angle-to-right-angle cable to connect my smartphone to my FX3, but then that cable was getting in the way of the headphones port on the FX3 body, so this new cable was able to connect on the camera side without getting in the way of that. Useful! 5 |

Since I own an Otter Box style case for my smartphone, I often have the problem of having my professional headphones not fit in the jack when its a few millimeters deep recessed in my phone case. Hosa is a great brand, and Im very pleased with my purchase. 5 |

I purchased the Sony extra bass smartphone headset to use for work purposes and only wanted to spend around $20. I am using these headphones for medical transcription and they are perfect in that respect. They have a good fit and are comfortable to use for several hours at a time. If you're looking for a pair of headphones under $20, I would recommend these. 5 |

works great for both smartphone and camera. Nice long cord, way better than using camera's built in mic! 5 |

This Rode VideoMicro Compact On-Camera Microphone Kit for Smartphones is my second RODE Shotgun mic for the smartphone. I have moved to use a Gimbal when I shoot video with my Samsung S9 and my Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. Using my S9 I shot a completely outdoor wedding and reception and you could not tell the difference between that video and one that. was shot with one of my HD camcorders, the main difference was your back was not hurting from holding the HD cam on your shoulder or using a Steadicam rig. I use the Rode VideoMicro Compact mike kit connected to a DigitalFoto L bracket along with an on-camera light with temperature control. The Samsung Galaxie Note Edge comes into play with the phone placed Airplane Mode and a Lavalier mic plugged in using a Voice Recorder app. We placed the cell in the groom's inside coat pocket and the mic picked up every word the Bride and Groom said. When you use the Rode VideoMicro on camera kit be sure to order the mic that comes with the additional cable. Then when in the edit you just match the audio with the mouths and you're all set, do the same with the music in the reception matching beat for beat with the .MP3 and what the DJ was playing. Be sure to order the TRS to TRRS cable for the smartphone that's B&H # ROVIDEOMICPC and you will save a couple of bucks. 5 |

I have done a few tests with this mic as I try to spec out a smartphone rig for citizen, mobile, documentary filmmakers. At about 4-5 feet away from the camera, this mic captures excellent sound. It is far and away better than the sound coming out of the smartphone mic. The included dead cat does a nice job of mitigating the effect of wind. I love the ability to connect a second mic to this one. I highly recommend this mic for this kind of basic production. 5 |
