Smartphone Use While Driving A Simulation Study

I first experienced flight simulation in 1998 with the Microsoft flight Simulation program. I'am retired now and became interested in flight simulation again and downloaded the MSFS 2020. My old control apparatus was not compatible with the new MSFS so I began searching for new controls. I was familiar with B H from purchasing photo equipment in years past. After contacting BH sales and being placed on a waiting list for a basic joystick I received notice of the availability of the one I recently purchased. Thanks B and H for getting me back on track.

While, I wouldn't put a valuable DSLR/Lens on the mini-ball head both my Gopro and iPhone 11 stayed on while driving up to 60 mph on the highway without it sliding or falling off. The magnet is S-T-R-O-N-G. I did not have any problems with the dual-action mini ball sliding around when I was driving with the kit on my car. I highly recommend this kit if you're looking to take photos with it mounted to your car.

I’m very impressed. My son removed the silicon back earlier in the day. While we were driving home, he held it out the window and dropped it! We must have been going about 35 MPH. When we retrieved it from the side of the road, the iPad was totally intact. The case was scratched but the device inside was working fine and unbroken! Of course we bought another Defender to continue protecting this device!

The Thrustmaster TH8S is being used with a G920 wheel. While the Logitech Driving Force Shifter works fine, the Thrustmaster is higher quality and feels more realistic, while it also allows for more precise shifting. The extra 7th gear is also nice to have. Only drawback is some games, e.g., Forza Horizon 4, will not recognize the TH8S and requires the Logitech shifter by default on a PC. Assetto Corsa on Steam works great with the TH8S though and it is a good deal of fun to use.

Use it with an android app to control my photos using smartphone or android tablet

I use the binoculars for astronomy. While the 50mm apeture seemed small for his use, (I own 100mm binoculars), the 50mm WITH the IS function make up some of the difference. It allows you to study an object without having to drag out a tripod and is great for travel. I have found the binoculars to be a bit heavy. If you are not fit, you may run into trouble holding these. PS: all the discussion about should I get the 10x42 L or the 18x50's=get the 15x50's. It's a nice balance of power and quality

It is a study cable that works well for the 1080p60 HDMI we use. While positioning the cable, I didn't notice the source/destination polarity labeling and placed it backward of course. Taking it out and putting it back in with the correct polarity didn't take long. No issues. It was not an issue for us, but the boot around the plug itself is pretty large. Just something to consider If your installation is sensitive to the width of the boot around the HDMI plug.

While all the other tripod adapters (smartphone) were inside sitting down, this Oben ASPTA-20 Adapter is OUTSTANDING! High quality, metal construction, and easy to use. I can be completely confident about mounting my thousand dollar smartphone on this adapter. Thanks, Open, for a job well done!

I was looking for a practical LED light solution that I could use both with smartphone and DSLR (when needed). While I was visiting the NYC SuperStore, I saw this hanging in the lights section. Seeing the brand as I already own tripods from them, I decided to trust my instinct with it. Haven't turned back on my decision, as I realised that it's simple to operate with quick presses to alter the brightness level. Having the battery rechargeable via USB mini port keeps it portable that I can simply charge it without shuffling for batteries.

I have an older truck without USB ports. Use this for charging my cellphone while driving. Works great...no problems.
