Software Controlled Usb Switch

This slick little PoE switch is controlled by the UniFi management software (I'm using a CloudKey 2 controller), so I can visualize it on my network and run updates, etc. Note that there is not a PoE pass-through, even though the switch can be powered via PoE (or USB-C), it cannot provide power to any PoE device plugged into it.

This is a great KVM option for people who want to use a USB KVM switch without loading software. This is a simple pass-though device that works very reliably. It is also very easy to set-up.

I purchased the following to replace 2 consumer grade routers. I have a Linksys WRT54G that is probably 10 years old. It was running the dd-wrt software. It's been great, but I figured it was time to upgrade. I purchased a Linksys� Max-Stream AC2200 first. It wasn't good. It needed frequent power bounces and on one occasion it completely lost the configuration. Its wireless interface was failing all the time. Very sad for $200. I returned it and reinstalled the 54G. I stumbled upon Ubiquiti and glad I did. Setup wasn't difficult, but I'm an IT guy. After a couple of hours, everything is working fine. I expect that to continue. I'll let you know if otherwise. Range of this AP is much better. I have a 2400 sq ft house on 2 levels and this covers the entire house. It reaches out to the front yard and the Linksys never did. I purchased a console cable from Amazon. Nice an bright. I use it in a Lowell Flood got reception and interviews...controlled by a dimmer switch.

I was looking for an inexpensive mixer that could be controlled remotely and the Ui16 fills the need perfectly. I was surprised at how feature rich the Ui software is. EQ, FX, Subs--it has quite a few of the big boy toys in a compact, rack mounted design. And the onboard hotspot provides a great back door should the network develop issues. Bonus: Soundcraft's demo URL allows a new user to practice with the software from anywhere with a connection. Very cool!

Makes using controller software simple as plugging into switch

I have been an APC User for over 15 yrs now. The BR1500 With Personal Powerchute v3 gives me reported energy Consuumption and aides in controlling devices attached to the Tower. With Window 7 , if the Tovwer goes to sleep, so will the Monitor and any other NON-USB Driven Device. If the Device is USB Driven, it is an infinite Circle. When the device powers off, it wakes up the CPU to tell it it disconnected, and the CPU and the Other Controlled Devices all wake up again. But once figured out, changing the USB device to a NON Controlled Outklet gives you great power savings if you are an intermittent user or need to leave the unit on for overnight update jobs. Great features, great expansion capacity and a real saver in the NE with the Winter and Power Outages.

I use this with an Iogear 2 port usb automatic printer switch. I have 2 of these 6 inch cables that go out of the printer switch, one goes to a 7 port USB hub for a Mac Pro & the other to a 4 port usb hub for a Windows PC. I only needed short cables so they work perfect for me.

The software to control the switch and my unifi WAP is great and the switch works as design....nothing bad to say here.
