Software For Sony Surveillance Camera

The Synology Surveillance Station software is the best security camera software we have used, having tried two before this. It is more costly having to buy licenses for each camera you want to use but at least the licenses are transferrable between hardware upgrades and not bound to a specific camera's MAC Address or hardware. The software is very smooth and easy to use with advanced feature available if needed. It has otherwise been very plug-n-play switching over.

There are many things about this camera that caused gut wrenching disappointment in me when I first started taking pictures with it. I am writing this review to let you know it is a GREAT CAMERA, once you get past the handicap. The handicap Sony software engineers have loaded it with picture fiddling software, that causes unfortunate outcomes like fine mud smear background effect, lack of precision in pictures and unreal colour. If you are experiencing difficulty loving your new a6000, stop using the auto and auto plus settings. Put it on P, and go through all the menus and turn off any Sony ingenuity you don't actively and knowingly want. After I did that I got STUNNING PICTURES, and could see the value in the extra megapixels. The camera itself is a great camera. Even the heavily compromised design of the kit 16-50mm lens can give excellent pictures.Don't give up, and you will love the pictures you get.Other thoughts it isn't physically small, like youtube reviews had me thinking. Its eye viewfinder is good enough quality to be enjoyable to use. Lens adapters fitted well, and I have used three manual film camera lenses on it with good results a Nikon 50mm prime, a Sigma PK mount zoom, and a Canon zoom/ macro. Battery life: turn the LCD onto bright sunlight mode all the time, and buy a spare battery what good is specified battery life if it is measured with the camera in an unusable state?I hope you buy one and get as much fun out of it as I am getting out of mine.

I use this Olympus 40-150mm lens on my Lumix GX7. It works as it should with it, both hardware and software wise. It is sharp across the whole image, sharper than my still useful Panasonic 45-200, and a more reliable image than my Sony 55-210, even though the Sony has the advantage of being on a camera (a6000) with lots more megapixels (I think the Sony's problem is over-smart software). This lens is lightweight and compact, and has good image quality. This lens does not have inbuilt image stabilisation, so is best used with a micro 4/3 camera body with image stabilisation some Lumix, and lots of Olympus micro 4/3 camera bodies, although the focal length isn't long enough for lack of Image stabilisation to be a real issue.

I made the jump from Canon to Sony after having both for a number of years. My first Sony was the Nex-7 and although I loved the quality the software was funky and Sony slow to make it better. While waiting for a new A7, I bought a Sony 6400 APS-C camera. Great value for the money, but noisy at any higher ISO. With no image stabilization and the smaller Sony battery, there were some frustrations. I built out my FF lenses, with the FE 20mm 1.8, Tamron 28-200 , and Samyang 85 1.4 AF. The payoff was the A7iv! Much better software, great features, and IQ. The camera seems to handle higher ISO for still and movie capture quite well. Love the customization, with ample controls like the joystick, buttons, and innovative ability to set up separate controls for Still, Movie, and S&Q. There is a lot here and it could be daunting. I highly recommend becoming a patron of Mark Galer to get the latest in CAMSET files you can load to speed up the customization and ebooks for guidance on-camera use and post-processing.

I am using this product in my surveillance camera box and i am most happy with it .I think it dose the job better than the green one that was in the box before.

This very flexible remote allows the camera to make images with you at the controls or in your absence. It is excellent for remote surveillance.

software has some glitch in the app but I am sure it can be fixed by Sony easily.
