Made of brass so it's quite solid.

Solid brass, well machined, does the job.

This is a work horse mic used by every sound engineer to record any type of instruments:brass, percussion, etc.

I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments.  The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections.  Versatile and great sound quality.

We are using the product for sensitive weather instruments. The fact that we can adjust the sizing according to the instruments is awesome. It's big, it's bulky but our equipment is safe and won't be damaged on the sled ride up a Colorado hill (mountain).

What can I say. It is a solid brass spigot. It does what it is designed to.

I finally made the decision to get a brass step up ring. When I was looking for one besides which size to fit for my lenses and filters, I noticed this brand of Sensei. I was worried as they did not have as many reviews from other brands and I had never heard of them. What I loved about the design was the beveled edge to be more easier to screw on and off in addition of the brass resilience to prevent getting stuck in cold weather condition. Having it come in a hard polymer case was also a nice feature as well. While I have not tested this ring in a cold weather condition with my filter, I have read the temperatures between brass and aluminum between and noticed that brass has a higher melting temperature to resistance chance its size from condition. In the past, I had a generic aluminum step up ring and would only have trouble unscrewing it in cold or winding condition. It came to be frustrating to a point I wanted to get a replacement.

The B&W ones are pricey. I favor the brass filters because aluminum ones tend to jam when exposed the humidity and the weather in general. This one is a sweet compromise between price and quality.
