Solid State Desk Top Computer

I recently got a SanDisk 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) and used a drive cloning device to clone my old 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to the new SSD. It works wonders in my 15 year old computer! It really speeds up drive-related activities, perhaps as much as 3 or 4 times faster. I think my old HP laptop computer is either a SATA or SATA II type, so I suspect those with a SATA III system would see even better speed results when going from a HDD to a SSD. Gotta love it!

As a computer repairman with decades of experience I only use Crucial Solid State Drives in my own computers and recommend them to all my clients. I have never had one fail though I have seen Samsung and Intel drives die.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kingston's A400 solid-state drive dramatically improves the responsiveness of your existing system. I used it in my existing computer. Installation was a breeze and I only consider myself to be a hobbyist with computers. I noticed a drastic difference in speed as well. And the price was perfectly on point or even a little cheap for what I recieved. I do recommend this for laptop and desktop computer users.

Every computer should come with these solid state drives these days. I already had a 500 GB installed, now I added this drive just for my photography files. Dramatic increase in speed accessing files. Worth every penny as the price of these drives continues to drop. Every computer I use will have one of these from now on, except my laptop (for now).

If you are installing an internal Solid State Drive to your desktop computer, you'll need this SATA wire unless you are able to scavenge one off another attached device that you no longer use. It attaches to the back of the SSD (or other SATA device) and to the mother board.
