This is just what the doctor ordered to accompany my new Mac Pro. It is not as fast as a solid state drive but more than adequate for editing HD or storing video files. I also have a bunch of RAW photos on there as well that are easily and quickly editable in Lightroom. 5 |

The Mac mini is a replacement for our old 2011 Mac mini. We use it as a standalone server for a variety of jobs: DNS, DHCP, file server and a backup server. We have two OWC Thunderbays connected with 16TB each that we use for backup using Carbon Copy Cloner and for file sharing for all of our Macs and Linux machines. We could not be happier with this configuration. The previous mini worked continuously and flawlessly for over seven years. We expect no less from this one. 5 |

I bought this little Mac mini to replace my 2011 iMac, what a great purchase! I was able to make the switch to external storage pretty quickly as I picked of the 128 ssd model. I need to work on cable management for sure with the hub that I am running to the Mac mini but it will all come together in time. Dedicated graphics are not an issue at this point but I do plan to pick up an egpu case and Vega card in the near future. 5 |
