I have an iMac for mid 2011 and recently added this 32GB RAMs by myself and they are working very well. I had windows 7 home premium version installed as well but at beginning it just showed 16GB (Usable ram) , after I upgrade to windows 7 perfessional 64 bit it does show 32 GB . so I recommend to upgrade your iMac and enjoy your 6/7-year-old computer! 5 |

Great addition to provide extra storage for my mid 2011 iMac. I use it mainly for raw camera files. Works great, I do notice a bit of a delay when I start using the computer but other than that it functions perfectly and loads images quickly in Lightroom and other editing software. 5 |

Bought this to boot my 2011 iMac from an external drive I useD 2 SSDs 500gb as boot drive created with CCC Backup and a 2TB for my photos and LR catalogue and previews. Before conversion the iMac took more than 5minutes to boot up through login to installing LR. Now it takes 20 seconds to login screen and another 15 to load LR. The toaster was recommended by CCC Backuo .. read their comprehensive guide first. 5 |
