Solid State Drive To Replace Sata

I recently got a SanDisk 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) and used a drive cloning device to clone my old 1TB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to the new SSD. It works wonders in my 15 year old computer! It really speeds up drive-related activities, perhaps as much as 3 or 4 times faster. I think my old HP laptop computer is either a SATA or SATA II type, so I suspect those with a SATA III system would see even better speed results when going from a HDD to a SSD. Gotta love it!

If you are installing an internal Solid State Drive to your desktop computer, you'll need this SATA wire unless you are able to scavenge one off another attached device that you no longer use. It attaches to the back of the SSD (or other SATA device) and to the mother board.

Solid state drive worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just used this to replace an old hard drive on my old laptop and because it's solid state I was able to breathe new life into a ten year old piece of hardware! Definitely get one if you don't want to upgrade to a new model of laptop just yet! Obviously it's a little small if you wanna use it on a desktop, but it's fine on a laptop

This is an extremely reliable and easy to use Solid State Drive. Once initialized it's easy to clone form a Hard Disk Drive to this unit. Take out the old drive, insert this drive, and put your seat belt on.

Cost effective cable for migrating my old hard drive to new solid state drive.

I am happy I purchased this SSD Drive. It replaces a 3TB Sata Drive. I use it for data storage in as much as I have thousands of photos on this drive. I have been pleased with the speed, read and write . Backup is much better compared to the SATA drive. The SATA drive could take almost 24 hrs for backup while the SSD drive may take 3-4 hrs. . I have not had over heating. I use a mid tower ATX case and the fans are enough to keep it cool. I am very satisfied.

I bought this Blu-Ray drive to replace an ASUS DRW-24B1ST Internal SATA 16X DVD Disc Rewriter which had failed after five years of use (the tray open and close mechanism was failing). And I wanted to play Blu-Ray discs. I sought the advice of a B&H employee via online chat and bought this unit because it had an identical form factor. The installation was easy, simply plugging it into the computer slot with the same cables. I did not realize that the drive did not come with software to play Blu-Ray discs. I bought a copy of Cyberlink PowerDVD 22 Ultra for that purpose. The new drive plays both CDs and Blu-Ray discs. So far, it works perfectly.
