I used this cable to clone the hard drive on my Acer netbook to a solid state replacement. Cable worked great. It is not something I will use very often, in truth it will probably sit in my cable drawer forever. That said, it was a reasonable price to pay. It is well made, with very rugged design and is backwards compatible with USB 2 & 1. 5 |

This is an extremely reliable and easy to use Solid State Drive. Once initialized it's easy to clone form a Hard Disk Drive to this unit. Take out the old drive, insert this drive, and put your seat belt on. 5 |

Bought this as an upgrade to another portable hard drive I have for when I'm shooting on the road. It's super fast and I don't have to worry about a spinning disk since it's solid state. Also, being solid state it seems to draw less power from my laptop. The biggest plus is the extra speed though. Great little hard drive 5 |

The solid state hard drive fit in it perfect. I did have to alter the mounting pin areas in the sides though, so the unit would fit in the case. I used a Dremel tool to grind out the four areas, where the pins engage, so the whole unit could slide into the case. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just used this to replace an old hard drive on my old laptop and because it's solid state I was able to breathe new life into a ten year old piece of hardware! Definitely get one if you don't want to upgrade to a new model of laptop just yet! Obviously it's a little small if you wanna use it on a desktop, but it's fine on a laptop 5 |
