Song Played Only With A Bass Guitar

I am a Bass Player. I like to hook up my bass to my computer for recording or practicing. The audio out of my Apple iMac always had problems handling the low frequencies of a bass guitar through headphones. Through the analog headphone port of my iMac, I would always have distortion, compression and muddy low frequency response. The AudioEngine D1 DAC solved the problem. At first, I would stream audio back through the USB port. Then, I bought myself an optical cable that has a 3.5mm mini-toslink one end and a full size toslink on the other. I hooked up the mini-toslink end to the headphone out of my iMac which is designed to support both 3.5mm analog audio or 3.5mm optical audio. Then, I played an HD version of Creams's N.S.U. song at 24-bit 192KHz resolution. Suddenly, I heard magical things I had never heard before. I can actually hear very clearly how the recording engineer mixed the song. For example, for that particular song, Eric Clapton's voice is slightly panned right in the stereo image while Jack Bruce's voice is panned slightly left. The bass is panned pretty hard on the right side. The guitar is panned on the left side and the drum is right down the middle. Really Cool! Also, there is some spatial dimension to the recording. You hear the room. Highly recommended. 5 |

Only used it once so far, on a guitar can, but very pleased! 5 |

This drum pad is exactly what I was looking for. I knew it wasn’t capable of programming different kits but wanted it for extra sounds to add to my acoustic drum kit. I played it with a choir for a song and people really liked the sound being played through a small powered speaker. Had the ride, tom, snare and kick setup and it really went well with the song. I haven’t noticed any cross talk but if the drum stick is too close to parallel you can hit two pads at the same time with the tip and shaft of the the drum stick. Great for practice with headphones. My nephew had a blast playing the cowbell and other tones while his dad and I jammed. Might need to get him one for Christmas. The adjustability with tuning and reverb gives more options to try to match pitch and ambiance. The sensitivity setting works but is not fabulous. Have not tried hooking it up to my computer yet but imagine it would work well. I would recommend this for someone looking for something to practice on or just play around with. I sawed the top off of a cheap music stand that I got for free and the mount plate slides over it perfectly with just a little bit of duct tape so it holds firm. Can’t angle it but I can adjust the height. For the price this drum pad is totally worth it. If you are more serious about performing live you’ll probably want something more versatile but this works perfect as it is intended. 5 |

Great sound for such a small speaker. Only thing that could improve it is if it played in stereo. 5 |

This is a beautiful ukulele. I'm a novice at ukulele (although I've played guitar before) and want to try learning this. The first few songs I've learned have a nice tone. The tuning doesn't seem quite as stable as my steel-stringed guitar, so I need to tune it a bit more at the start of each session, although that may be something that's inherent with nylon strings. Regarding the strings, though, the feel of them is nice, and my fingers aren't all calloused yet, the way they get when I play the guitar frequently. As for price, you can't beat this, especially with the package deal. Get it. 5 |

I got this as a beginner guitar. My musician friend played it for me, it sounds great. He liked it. It arrived undamaged. It hold its tuning. The finish is reasonable. I lowered the bridge because I like to tinker, but that all. 5 |

I am a solo acoustic guitar musician and I used these for the first time last Saturday. I played at a medium size club and with the height adjustment I was able to elevate the speakers over everybody in the building. This helped in controlling feed back, which is always a problem with a acoustic guitar. I can't say enough about the ease of raising 60 pound speakers with one hand, the power asist is awesome! 5 |

Ideal if you play bass or guitar and sing. It gives you space from your instrument. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This speakers audiobquality comes second to none!! Soon as it arrived I tore open the box to reveal a tower that comes up to my lower chest. Its a monster! The bass that comes off this thing without bass boost is impressive and with BB on it takes it to a new level, whole house was shaking with 30% volume, Id say a bit too kuch bass for indoor use. I have to keep it relatively low volume and had to use the JBL One app to lower the bass in the EQ and still its very punchy. I will definitely be using this for all our upcoming parties as it is loud!! The light show is amazing and I can look at it for hours withiut it becoming too stale. I like the sound pad effects you can customize in the One app as well. Probably wont use the mic and guitar inputs much but its nice to have. The chromecast audio is a bit iffy as it loses connection sometimes mid song on a strong 5 ghz network thats 500 mbps. Dont know what thats about. Another gripe is that when I turn on the bass boost from the app and turn on ounchy bass, I leave the app to change a song The bass boost appears off in the app and I have to toggle back on seems like a bug that must be fixed in the next firmware update I guess. Other than that the button on the top works flawlessly but would like the remote option. Its definitely worth the price tag and anyone will be lucky to hear this beast of a speaker. JBL is simply the best when it comes to audio! 5 |

I bought the Bose Bass Module 700 with my Soundbar 700 the day it released. I have been watching movies every day since. The sound is just incredible! When I play music like, The O'Jays - Ship Ahoy. I never knew that there was a storm brewing during the song. I had previously only heard the rain in the song as the most prevalent indication of inclement weather. When I played the song even at a modest level with this new system. I could hear thunder rolling in the background of the singers. This new setup is nothing short of amazing!!! 5 |
