I connected a Bluetooth receiver to the auxiliary input and now I can listen YouTube video on my Sonos play 5. 5 |

I bought this receiver for the Bluetooth connectivity. I am now able to play my iTunes songs from the iTunes cloud through my iPhone and the new Receiver to our inside and / or outside speakers - all from my lounge chair. I am handicapped, so this is of great help to me. 5 |

I was looking for a Bluetooth device to play music from my Ipod and Ipad to my older Denon receiver. After looking at the reviews, I picked this one even though it was pricey than others I have looked at. When it arrived, it was well packaged, came with a usb power supply , usb cable, gold plated audio cables and a cloth bag to store the unit. Even though it has a optical digital output, No optical cable was included. I had this for about 3 months now and I can say that I'm really impressed with it and wouldn't hesitate to buy any of their products. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a high quality Bluetooth receiver. 5 |

We decided to go wireless and use Sonos to take away clutter and facilitate streaming and different music playback options in different rooms at the same time. We used to have an Onkyo 2 zone receiver running two amazing outdoor Bose speakers (prewired in our home) and a Bose Accousitmass 10 sorround system in our family room. To play the speakers outside we had to play the same thing in the Family room. It sounded good though. We replaced the Onkyo and indoor Bose surround with a Sonos Soundbar and we are 110% happy with that. We also bought a Sonos Amp to run the outdoor speakers. Now we can play different things in the different areas and the sound quality is phenomenal. The amp has more power and clarity than the old Onkyo receiver. I know this is a really expensive option, but for us, it was completely worth the investment! 5 |

I bought the Sonos Amp to replace a bulky old receiver/amplifier that forms a part of my TV+speaker system. I already had a pair of Play:1 Sonos speakers too. This unit makes it so easy to stream all my local network music, streaming services (ie Spotify) and function as part of my home theatre. Pairing the Amp with an ancient set of Bose 401s, and the Play 1's it sounds fantastic. And controlling it all from my phone seals the deal. I don't deal with the fruit based music ecosystem any longer.... 5 |

The Sonos Play 5 has an awesome sound that can fill a large room.It can peak out with particularly songs with a lot of base, but it awesomly good in most other scenarios. I would like to see more tools to balance that manually. Equiliser software would be a nice add. Thought it's pretty straight forwatd to set up with the Sonos app and have wi-fi, but don't take it with you if there is not going to be wi-fi to connect to. It's not like a Bluetooth speaker. Bluetooth connectivity would also be a nice addition for one to one connectivity as it would be nice to take away, or be able to connect a device to play sound from rather than just having to use the supported software. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. Though it's expensive, I feel it's worth it for the quality. 5 |

Have had hifi setups for years. The sonos five is 95% of the way there. Size and ease of use more than make up for the 5% difference. If I had a dedicated music room I would go with a dedicated music setup, but for around the house the size and wireless nature of sonos is just so much better. 5 |
