Sony 256Gb Usb 3.0 External Solid State Drive

I bought the 256gb USB 3.0 and love using it as my everyday carry USB drive. I have no complaints at all! I will most likely buy 3-4 more of these in the near future.

WD 5TB My Passport for Mac USB 3.0 External Hard Drive (Midnight Blue) Purchased 06/10/2020: Backed up my data and storage allows for many additional activities and tasks.

I love this external drive and especially the usb 3.0 connection. It's mega fast transfer rate meets my needs sufficiently. My laptop needed a re-image and saving everything to a 1T drive was needed. I love Western Digital Drives. They never let me down.

This was ordered with the LaCIe 4TB Mini USB 3.0 External hard drive and fits it perfectly. It provides protection from the general elements for the specified hard drive and has met all expectations thus far. I would definitely recommend this if you're purchasing the aforementioned external hard drive.

Works exactly as intended and that was to make a 2.5 SSD an external USB drive. USB 3.0 speeds are nice as well.

Small and fast and an excellent value for anyone needing an external drive. Usb 2.0 or 3.0 and performs well on either. Just ordered another, and will continue to use this brand and size for any more expansion of my computer. I use it to install information intensive programs on (photoshop and photos) and the second one was bought solely for backup of my complete system. No problems after 2 weeks...runs cool and reliable..

This fits my external 2.5 USB 3.0 SSD hard drive really well and gives it good protection and has a place to store the cable. Good value for money and the usual great quality I have come to expect from items sold by B&H.

I was outgrowing my 1 TB external single drives, and it was about time to separate my work projects from my personal. The item arrived quickly, and sported the lovely new electronic smell. Install was a breeze; as I don't have the need for RAID at the moment, I converted the drives quickly to be independent of each other, with one drive making multiple backups of the other. My system doesn't support USB 3.0, so I can't comment on the speed. But I can say USB 2.0 speeds are similar to other external drives, averaging around 20-25 MB/sec, according to the disc tests I ran. 4 months later the drive bay still runs like a charm. It is very quiet, located about 4 feet away from ear shot, and can only be heard when booting up the desktop as the drives spin up. This won't win you any awards for speed if you're doing heavy video processing. For now, it serves my purpose as a drive for my photography business, but I fear as the cameras keep increasing in MP sizes, I may need to update the desktop to either USB 3.0 or something similar, as USB 2.0 is starting to show its age (rendering full size previews of thousands of images can take a long time)!
