This is my first mirrorless camera. I also own Nikon DSLR's. I chose the Sony A6000 because of it's amazing reviews and the fact that this camera seems to be a legend in its class. I believe this camera came out in 2014 and is still being sold in 2020 even though additional models have been introduced by Sony. That's relatively unheard of in this era of digital cameras. I have been a DSLR shooter for years and always shot with the same brand. Making the move to the mirrorless world was a bit questionable for me. After watching countless video reviews, reading up on multiple mirrorless camera brands, and comparing them all, I decided to give the Sony A6000 a try. I was not disappointed at all! In fact, it has far exceeded my expectations from a camera of this size. As my headline states, expect the unexpected from this camera. Auto-focus is extremely fast and for the most part spot on to what I want it focused on. The 11fps shooting is crazy and very reliable. The fact that this is an interchangable lens mirrorless (as opposed to some of the others) was a big selling point for me. Also, the ability to shoot in RAW and complete manual control is a must on any camera for me...the Sony did not disappoint. The color SOOC from this little gem is accurate and beautiful. For anyone still hesitant about moving to mirrorless I would definitely recommend giving the A6000 a chance to impress you. 5 |

I moved from a Nikon D7100 DSLR to a Sony A6000 mirrorless and am loving it. Much smaller and much lighter with the same quality shots. Also much better video with the live view through the viewfinder. These Nissin flashes work great with the Air 1 Commander for much less cost than the Nikon equivalents and include radio transmission instead of optical! 5 |
