Sony A6000 Camera Vs Nikon D3300

This is my first mirrorless camera. I also own Nikon DSLR's. I chose the Sony A6000 because of it's amazing reviews and the fact that this camera seems to be a legend in its class. I believe this camera came out in 2014 and is still being sold in 2020 even though additional models have been introduced by Sony. That's relatively unheard of in this era of digital cameras. Great camera and very pleased with it. 5 |

Although I use the lens for portraits, food, street photography, and architecture, my main reason for buying it was for travel. On a cruise last year, I carried my Nikon D610 with the 28x300mm lens. I was thrilled with the pictures from the Nikon, but the weight of the camera and lens bore down on my neck. For a backup camera and for my trips, I purchased the Sony A6000 with the kit lens. The Sony and the new lens will be much easier to carry. I'm very pleased with the quality and the build of the 18-105. Since I use the A6000 for occasional videos, I appreciate the smooth power zoom. For me, it's a perfect complement to the Nikon. I love them both! 5 |

This is my third set. Bought this one for a full frame Sony camera, have another one on a Sony a6000 and another on a set of Nikon Monarch binoculars. These are well made and quite comfortable to use. Adjustment for length is very easy and attaching or detaching them from the camera is a breeze. The strap is wide enough to be comfortable to put over your shoulder or hang around your neck, but not so big that it is cumbersome or unmanageable. The rubber grips on one side of the strap are nice to help keep the strap from slipping around when you have it against your clothing. The only downside I can see is that the attachment piece sometimes interferes with the ISO adjustment dial on the camera's back but I've learned to work around that. Love these straps! 5 |

I have a Nikon D610 and a Sony A6000. I purchased one system for each camera. Now, I can remotely trigger 2 flashes using either system - just set the receivers on the same frequency. I can also remotely trigger the camera without the flash. This system works great. For the Nikon trigger, I did get a bad DC2 cable. B&H is taking care of that with a new cable (not received yet). 5 |

With the Vello E-Mount adapter I am able to use all my Nikon lens on my Sony a6000. Love the camera and with this adapter I am able to use all my lens and do not have to buy new, expensive ones. Only disadvantage - have to shoot in manual mode. But that is not so bad. Best way to shoot anyway. Highly recommend this addition to your gear bag. 5 |

I bought this lens specifically to take photos of birds and wildlife. I am using the lens with my Nikon D3300 camera. My first photos were taken without a tripod, I found it a bit difficult to hold the camera and lens still. When I tried using it with my old tripod, I discovered that the tripod was not sturdy enough so I bought a new tripod (Vanguard Alta Pro 263AB 100). The tripod arrived late yesterday and I have yet to try the camera/lens with it. The photo was taken using my old tripod. 5 |
