Sony A6700 Photos

I paired this Sigma 18-50mm Lens with my new Sony a6700 camera. I was able to take close up and medium photos perfectly. This worked great for city landscapes and ancient ruins in Greece. I would have liked for a little more range, but I guess a zoom lens will be needed for that. I could not take great photos of far away objects like mountain tops.

Tack sharp on my Sony A6700 and $200 less than comparable lens. What’s not to like.

This battery holds charge very well and is fully compatible with my a6700. Its also much more affordable than Sony's battery.

I bought this for my Sony a6700 (aps-c) camera to get a 30mm FF FOV for street photography. In this regard, it is excellent. The lens is small, light and inconspicuous. Moreover, the corner sharpness is reasonably good on an APSC sensor compared to a full-frame sensor. Regardless, for this price it is riddiculously good. [As an aside, I own the excellent Sony 20mm 1.8 G and the Viltrox is slightly softer in the center, and especially so in the corners on an A7RV. That is an unfair comparison, however, given the Sony costs 5 times more.]

Discovered to my surprise one afternoon, when I saw it laying on the floor, that the eyecup to my A6700 was removable. I picked it up and slid it back into place, surprised at how easily the eyecup could be slipped on and off of the eyepiece. I should have secured it with a drop of Loc-tite, but I didn't. One day, a couple of months later, after out in the field, I got home and discovered the eyecup to my A6700 was nowhere to be found. This replacement, I am happy to say, is a much better quality than the original. Although it looks the same, it snapped into place with an almost spring-like quality, something the first eyecup did not do. There was no wiggle once in place, and a gentle tug would not budge it. But I have a question that I hope some manufacturer, be it Sony, Small Rig, Falcam, or other, takes up the challenge to produce. If the eyecup on an A6700 is removable and replaceable, then why oh why can't somebody -- anybody -- make an eyecup of at least twice to four times the size of this one (squishy sides would be nice, too) so you can place your eye up to the occular and block out the light without having to cup your hand around your eye? Come on someone, please manufacture some eyepiece options out there for what is probably the most popular Sony APSC right now. None-the-less, this eyepiece is of superior quality to the original and I'm happy to have been able to obtain the replacement.
