I upgrade from the Sony a7 III which I used for 3 years. The a7 IV is a very worthy upgrade over it's predecessor. So many quality of life improvements that make it a joy to use. The 33 MP is a welcome addition especially for stills shooters which I mainly use the camera for. I've been using for about 2 weeks now and love it, I can't wait to use it more and more and try out the video capabilities. 5 |

This lens comes as a kit lens when you purchase the Alpha A7. For a starter lens the image quality it is pretty good. It makes for a good general purpose lens and has a decent zoom. The autofocus is very quick and very quiet. For the price, the overall quality of the lens is excellent. Just what you expect to see from Sony. Although the value is very good, I would not have bought this lens if it was not included with my camera. My main issue with this lens is the aperture. With only a maximum of F3.5, I felt limited almost immediately. For my shooting preference, I would like to see this lense with maybe an F2.8 or F2. Don’t be discouraged by this, though. It is still a very well rounded lens. Good to learn on. I would recommend it to anyone that has just gotten into photography with a Sony E-Mount body. 5 |

I wanted a 100-400 lens to use with my A7 III but didn't want to pay the price of the Sony version. I am very happy with the quality and performance of this Sigma version. A friend has the Sony 100-400 and we've compared photos and are truly hard-pressed to see a difference between the lens quality and photos. The only knock against the lens I have is the lack of tripod collar. I purchased it and it's a great addition but I feel that Sigma should have included it with this lens, even if they had to charge a bit more. I do recommend this lens a lot. 5 |

This lens now lives on my Sony a7. This quality of this lens is simply amazing. I have been using Leica's for 60 years and this lens is as sharp and the rendering is as beautifully defined as my older Summicron. Actually, it reminds me of the excellent 50mm Elmar lenses. I use this lens with the voigtlander close focus adapter-which is needed to focus the lens. I also have set up my Sony to use The Clear zoom. I have found that the introduction of pixels into the image with this lens - when pushed to 80mm is also amazingly excellent. Much has been made about the lack of hyper focal distance marks on this lens. Just focus it. I do not consider this lens slow to use because I preset my aperture on the lens and the shutter on the camera. Then just enjoy! 5 |

This camera is incredible. the image quality coming out of the S1 is leaps and bounds ahead of Sony's A7 line and Canon's EOS R camera. It is incredibly detailed, sharp without looking digital, and unbelievable in low light. With the forthcoming 10-bit, V-Log update, this thing is going to be the best mirrorless camera in video for a long time, I think. It will only be knocked off the top by the Panasonic S1H in a few months. 5 |
