If you’re like me, you buy when the price is right, I bought this kit solely for the A7R IV and sold the Atomos to bring the overall cost of the A7R IV down. With the right glass and focusing, nothing compares. Extremely sharp, did some long exposure shots of the sunrise with my summit polar pro system matched with my new Sony A7R IV and I’m stunned by both products, highest of quality. If you’re familiar with the Sony system the menu system It took a trip down memory lane to the original A7 line within the menu layout, still frustrating but Sony custom buttons quickly fix that. That’s the only bad knock I can think of towards the A7R IV but that’s more of a Sony issue than it is a model issue. Highlight : The new grip and EVF alone are worth the cost upgrading from Gen III.

I use this for mounting my Sony A7r II, and it easily handles it. Great value for the price. I don't use the camera bracket - I purchased a ball head separately.

I upgraded from a Sony A7R III, and am very happy with the decision. The price tag is a little hard to get past, but the increased resolution and much better auto-focus make the A7R IV worth the price. As many have mentioned, the menu system is not as user friendly as some other cameras, but this camera has so many features and settings that I am not sure how Sony could drastically improve it. After playing with the menus for a while, it becomes much easier to figure things out. Then you can customize the camera configuration to match your needs and assign them to the Custom Buttons. So far, I have just been shooting still pictures, no video. Mainly using a Sony FE 100-400 mm zoom lens. (Attach a 2x Teleconverter for the long shots.) The image quality and resolution are just stunning! You can crop an image way down and still get high resolution images. The enclosed picture of the Half Moon was a hand held shot with the Sony FE 100-400 mm lens and 2x Teleconverter, and about a 3x crop. With the camera and lens image stabilization, and the high resolution sensor, it is easy to resolve craters only 5 miles across in the long shadows. You can zoom in a long way before you start to see pixelization. Bottom line, I am very happy with this camera. You get what you pay for: really incredible pictures! B&H is also very good to do business with. I have purchased several cameras and lenses from them , and the customer service is First Class.

I love this little $1300 Sony RX100 VII camera and at this price it is almost equivalent to my $6000 Sony A7r IV camera with the same features. Excellent travel camera!

This 14mm Rokinon works really well on my Sony A7R for landscape work, at a fraction of the price of the other lenses in this focal range. My only complaint is that with the built in E-mount adapter (it's bigger than the lens pictured above) it might be a little bulky/heavy for a prime lens that doesn't have autofocus or image stabilization, but not a dealbreaker for me.
