Sony A80L Calibration Settings

We love the picture of our new A80L. The remote is not great and the Google TV option is pretty annoying you want to the utilize voice commands. After much research we settled on a Sony OLED to fulfill our primary viewing preferences: movies. If you’re a gamer or sports and news person, you might want to consider a Samsung Neo QLED. We watch mostly in Stsndard or Netflix Cdlibrated modes, with minor settings alterations and the picture quality is stellar. Everything you’ve possibly read about skin tones and fabrics, textures etc is true. Vivid mode is bright but compromises the picture quality. Fool around and tweek the settings, crack up your sound bar, pop some corn and put on favorite high res show or movie, you won’t be disappointed! 5 |

I have a Sony A80L 65” set with an A5000 soundbar, the RS5 rear speakers and now with the added SW3 soundbar I have full , movie theater sound. My system was great before the subwoofer, but now it’s amazing. Adding the subwoofer allows, the remote to have more control over the base and the subwoofer power. I just love how everything pairs and sinks together. The base is clear and perfect for my apartment living room.! Thanks again Sony, another amazing product! 5 |

Bought the Sony A80L just a few weeks ago. Was looking at the l Gc three, but after comparing both of them, Sony had the better picture. Everything looks great on this TV. Very happy with my purchase. 5 |

Delighted with my Sony Bravia XR 77' A80L – it surpasses all my TV experiences! After debating between Sony OLED and LG OLED due to price concerns, I initially chose LG but was disappointed with its picture and software. Upon comparing both side by side, the Sony stood out effortlessly. No hesitation—I swiftly opted for the Sony, and it instantly convinced me of being the ultimate OLED TV. Extremely pleased with my choice! 5 |

Early adopter here of the 42” A90K - bought sight and review unseen in August 2022. I put it through the paces setting up all of the inputs with non-invasive settings, and did not have to adjust calibration settings at all from the factory settings for what I thought looked correct. Fantastic contrast without crushing levels - really brings out the best (and worst) of whatever the source is. HD and UHD Blu-rays look astoundingly good, and Dolby Vision implementation looks spectacular. Broadcast OTA looks great too, and streaming internal apps and external (Roku) all good. CATV low bit rate (decompression) in direct comparison to the same channel OTA you can really tell the difference. It is unforgiving of bad or low quality sources, but in the same turn will let your great stuff shine. The remote is nice in hand, missing number buttons but otherwise easy to use. Soundbar handshaking works without issue, and internal apps with the built in wireless are great, including the Bravia Core high bit rate streaming you get for free, along with 10 credits for purchasing titles there. Downsides: almost none. I bought an OLED for true black and near-black detail and this is great. Sources dictate what you get here - the set in its default calibration will be true. I do not like how there is no ‘display’ info button on the remote, and even trying to use an older ‘display’ button from a previous remote only shows time detail. The missing info that is useful to me is resolution, bit rate, frame rate, interlace/progressive, audio channels, etc. which is barely existent and mostly unavailable to the user. I miss having it to be able to check what the set is doing and seeing as source. It’s expensive but you realize the value of the purchase with a premium presentation of high quality sources. 5 |

This is my first 3D printer. The resolution is pretty good and assembly went well, no misalignments or incorrect parts. NOTE: You will need to do both a manual calibration requiring adjusting the leveling plate knobs a few rounds on each corner and a Z-axis offset on the touchscreen settings, as well as auto calibration. Watch the YouTube videos on how to do this as the manual included is pretty thin. The printer comes with a full set of manuals and videos on a SD card. It also comes with 2 SLT objects you can print, a USB-SD Card adapter and some tools for cleaning and changing the print head. It comes with .5kg of white PLA material. The base plate is heated. It takes about 2-3 min. to warm up the plate and head. The Creality slicer software takes the SLT files and converts them to G-code for the printer to work. It automatically puts in purge routes before laying the part beads. Which means any strings left around the print head get laid outside your print area. Then the printer does a few loops around your part before laying the first layers. You can adjust most of the settings on the touchscreen. The machine is fairly quiet and appears solid/well built. 5 |

I was skeptical to order this initially and not sure if it would work. My lens are not focusing right and my pictures are not sharp for sometime. I decided to try Reikan focal pro to calibrate all my lenses but not sure if it would work but decided to place an order. However, the risk paid dividends... software is easy to download and install with minor hiccups to begin with calibration due to camera settings. Once initial hiccups are addressed, calibration is very easy. Though minimal inputs are required for Nikon due to manufacturer limitations. Fine tuning of camera autofocus is exceptional and I was surprised that my nikkor 50mm 1.8G lens autofocus was off by quite a bit. After adjusting the fine tune settings, the sharpness and quality of the picture was greatly improved. I Was surprised with the sharpness and quality of picture and decided to fine tune my 24-70 mm lens. Surprisingly this lens also had slight autofocus issue. After calibration, I took lens for outdoor photography to test the Calibration. The pictures are better and much sharper than previous settings. The software also offer range of lens aperture that offer sharper image. I was surprised to see that some of my favorite lens are not sharp at higher f-stops and lower f-stops. Overall, the software does great job in calibrating lens and other settings of lenses for sharper pictures. I would recommend this to anyone who is willing to calibrate lens within short time. 5 |

I took it out of the box and hooked it up to my Sony speakers from my older Sony surround system, plugged in the calibration hook up that came with the system and wala!!!. Put the movie the gladiator in my DVD player and thought I was in the movie theater. The sound was unbelievable. Very pleased. 5 |
