Finally, i received my new Sony Alpha a7 Mark II mirrorless camera on Monday, December 28, 2020 via USPS. It is a remarkable camera I ever owned so far. I already owned a Sony Alpha 6000 compact and i really like it. I also owned several Pentax and Nikon cameras but this is my first full frame mirrorless one. it is wonderful to have these additions for my hobby.

I recently had the pleasure of getting my hands on the Sony A7 IV, and I must say, it's nothing short of a game-changer in the world of mirrorless cameras. Sony has once again raised the bar, delivering a remarkable blend of performance, versatility, and innovation. The A7 IV boasts a 33-megapixel full-frame sensor that delivers stunningly detailed and sharp images. The dynamic range is impressive, capturing a wide spectrum of tones even in challenging lighting conditions. I still use full frame larger DSLRs for in-studio portraiture, but for travel, I've moved completely to the Sony mirrorless E-Mount system. I use the A7; this a6000 replaced an NEX-7 (which I gave to a son for his trip). I've used in now for about a month. It is very quick focusing and somewhat better high ISO than the NEX-7. It's a pleasure to use. The menus are the same as the A7; the camera is totally customizable. Images are excellent. Video is also first rate. The only negative thing about the Sony mirrorless cameras is battery life. You have to buy a batch to make it through a single day, which is a bit of a hassle when traveling, because you need multiple chargers to make the next day possible.

Having researched several other cameras, I finally chose the Sony Alpha a7 ii. It’s extremely user friendly especially if you’re just getting started. I’ve had a great time fiddling around with the different settings and getting used to where everything is. The only downside to this particular camera is there is no built in flash, but that hasn’t hindered me at all. I go out in the sunshine and the photos are incredible. This is definitely worth it, I’d definitely recommend this to a friend! Give this wee camera a go!

My camera is a Sony Alpha II, which is a very good mirrorless dslr, that takes movies as well. Of course the built in mic is minimal. I tried it out for real at a house concert, with serious audio equipment, and an audience of about 50. The two mics were both pointed at the artist, so it was not really sterio. The sound quality was quite presentable on the external stereo speakers driven from my laptop. My intention is iTunes and Facebook use, not making studio quality audio so it clearly does the job for me.

This is just what we wanted for a carry-everywhere full frame Sony Alpha camera. Would have been nice to have a back dial, but we don't miss it when this is paired with one of the new G prime lenses like the 40mm/2.5 G with aperture ring. That makes for a great M mode shooting setup that can go anywhere. Image quality is what we expected - excellent. It also handles well, and has great AF performance.

I primarily use a full frame Sony Alpha 1. Wonderful camera but it is heavy. When traveling I want to be light. The Sony Alpha 7C let's me use my FF lenses yet save over a lb. The 24-60mm kit lense is great substitute for two primes. So, with just an 85mm, an extra battery, charging cable and plug I'm all set up. Terrific pics.
