Sony Alpha Dslr A300 Digital Slr Camera

When I bought the Sony Alpha SLR Digital Camera package, I mistakenly neglected to get an AC Adapter Kit... but because I purchased the camera primarily for video production, the AC Adapter is essential. Not surprisingly, I got the quality that I expected from a Sony product. 5 |

Excellent option for SLR Camera! I used this case for the Sony Alpha Next with 18-210mm lenses. It is not a proffesional SLR, but it is around the same size. The case is perfect to store the camera, an extra battery, extra memory, even the connection cables and the battery charger for this particular camera. I think it is a great option for a compact case 5 |

This is my first Digital SLR and I think it's a great camera. I wanted something over 10MP for a DSLR and this fit the bill. The value and features are great and B&H has the best price for this kit anywhere! 5 |

This lens works beautifully with the Sony Alpha A7s Ii Mirrorless Digital Camera. I highly recommend this lens :) 5 |

I bought this camera for my wife who already owns a Sony NX5 and a Sony DSLR. The Alpha 6000 is now her go to camera for just about everything she photographs. All the features of a new DSLR camera but half the weight and size. Blazing fast focus never misses and works with all of her older E lenses and DSLR lenses with the Sony adapter. I elected to get her the gorgeous silver and black finish body that is reminiscent of neo-modern rangefinder camera in the mirrorless package and the fit and finish is excellent. Unlike the Nex 5 the Alpha 6000 incorporates an electronic viewfinder into it's light and compact body that is bright and sharp and a welcome addition over the older Nex 5. Current pricing of the Alpha 6000 is very good for such a feature laden camera and although the newer Alpha 6300 and 6500 may have additional features in more robust packaging you would be hard pressed to find the same value for money! As expected B&H service was excellent and delivery was faster than I anticipated, even with the need to clear customs into Canada. 5 |

This is my first DSLR camera. I was torn between the Canon T5i, Sony Alpha A58 and this Canon SL1. I've had it for only a few weeks but so far so good. The kit lens that came with it is a good all around lens. Pictures are nice and clear. The camera is easy to use and the menus are straight forward. The camera is pretty light but I can't say thats a bad thing. Overall, I've been very satisfied with this camera. I would recommend this camera to any one looking to get into the photography hobby. 5 |

My camera is a Sony Alpha II, which is a very good mirrorless dslr, that takes movies as well. Of course the built in mic is minimal. I tried it out for real at a house concert, with serious audio equipment, and an audience of about 50. The two mics were both pointed at the artist, so it was not really sterio. The sound quality was quite presentable on the external stereo speakers driven from my laptop. My intention is iTunes and Facebook use, not making studio quality audio so it clearly does the job for me. 5 |

I have been a Nikon guy for 30 years. I have a ton of lenses and my current favorite Nikon SLR is the D7100. (I prefer the DX format to the FX format for a number of reasons). It's a great still camera, but shoots absolutely terrible video. Sony on the other hand is known for making amazing video cameras, but has struggled to gain market share in the stills world. My wife got an a5000 and I was incredibly impressed with it, but it lacks manual controls--too many menus required to get into the settings. I decided to buy this camera as something more portable than an SLR but with much higher quality images than a typical fixed-lens point/shoot. This camera is amazing. The video looks like the video from an FS100. The stills are as good as the ones from my Nikon D7100. The autofocus is as fast as any DSLR. It can do ANYTHING a DSLR can do, and a few things they can't. This may be the future of cameras. A DSLR is starting to look like something I don't really need anymore. My only complaint is that the battery is pretty small and the battery life could be better. So buy a couple. It has enough manual controls and assignable buttons that you can set it up to be able to change settings/focus/mode/etc in just a few actions and once you get it set up, the darned thing is absolutely fantastic to use. The kit lens is sharp and has optical stabilization built in which works in both stills and video mode! Crazy cool. Honestly, I haven't been so amazed by a camera in a long time. For the money? Best camera I have ever owned. Buy a battery charger with the camera....Sony is too cheap to include one with the camera and expects you to charge it through a USB cable. Lame Sony! 5 |

I purchased the RM-VPR1 remote for my older A300 that I have been using more for Macro photography recently. Previously, I had been using the 2 second timer to minimize excess vibration on the body but needed something better. This trigger was just the right component. First impression of the RM-VPR1 was good as well as boxed well inside the Sony packaging. The actual remote is nice quality and matched well to my camera. Connections were easy with a solid terminal plug and the user guide is basic with the traditional Sony format. Overall, this is exactly what I was after and would recommend the RM-VPR1 for anyone who wants a simple shutter release remote. For my A300, the shutter release is the only function which is the function I was wanting. For others who want all the features of the RM-VPR1 using it with an A300 is probably not the best match. I haven't had the trigger much but while using the shutter release I have noticed more of my photos have been in focus more often and with repeatable results. I feel the results are due to using the RM-VPR1 exclusively which minimizes the extra camera vibrations. The overall service from B&H was outstanding. Having my purchase shipped the next day and delivered a couple days ahead of schedule gave me the opportunity to use it before I needed it for a project. 5 |
