Sony Alpha Series Mirrorless Cameras

Fantastic mirrorless camera, I love the alpha series very much, I've tried canon and nikon but sony gets it just right. As an amateur photographer, I use B&H for all my camera needs, they have everything I'm looking for and more. I upgraded from the A7 III and I don't regret it. Not much of a difference except for the body style and sensor which is a great upgrade for me. I love this camera and would recommend anyone to get it. If you have trouble deciding, rent one and you will know what I'm talking about.

If you've played with a mirrorless camera already, especially one of the Sony ones, then nothing here will surprise you. It's the same as the other Alpha cameras, only everything is 3x better/faster/sharper! While not revolutionary, this is a big evolutionary jump that gets several steps closer to bridging to the gap with consumer-grade DSLR's, in half the size and at half the price.

Sony's own official Z battery for their Alpha mirrorless cameras. I picked up an extra one to assure I don't run out of battery power for an extended trip this Summer. And the original battery assures there will be no warnings from firmware updates. The longevity of the battery is also another plus. Most OEM batteries have more capacity than rated as a reserve for long duty life. Good quality!

I’ve owned several cages for Sony Alpha series cameras over the years and this one is my favorite. It’s well-constructed, reasonably lightweight, and the second point of contact with the screw that mounts to the strap loop makes this much more robust that any other cages I’ve used in the past. The angled cold shoe mount on the top allows for easy mounting of a shotgun microphone for anything from vlogging to filming interviews. The included HDMI cable lock ensures that your camera wont get destroyed if you accidentally bump it while a cable is plugged in. I cannot recommend this cage highly enough!

I purchased this Sony Alpha a6000 with the 16-50mm and 55-210 with free accessories, as a backup to my Canon 6d mark ii. I also bought this for the 11 fps, and it has not failed me. Also, having a less expensive mirrorless camera has given me the opportunity to decide about future mirrorless camera purchases, which I will probably get, and will definitely purchase from B&H Photo. They have been great. I highly recommend this camera kit if one is not sure if they want to go the mirrorless market or as a great backup to your DSLR.
