Sony Bass Boost Headphones App

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This speakers audiobquality comes second to none!! Soon as it arrived I tore open the box to reveal a tower that comes up to my lower chest. Its a monster! The bass that comes off this thing without bass boost is impressive and with BB on it takes it to a new level, whole house was shaking with 30% volume, Id say a bit too kuch bass for indoor use. I have to keep it relatively low volume and had to use the JBL One app to lower the bass in the EQ and still its very punchy. I will definitely be using this for all our upcoming parties as it is loud!! The light show is amazing and I can look at it for hours withiut it becoming too stale. I like the sound pad effects you can customize in the One app as well. Probably wont use the mic and guitar inputs much but its nice to have. The chromecast audio is a bit iffy as it loses connection sometimes mid song on a strong 5 ghz network thats 500 mbps. Dont know what thats about. Another gripe is that when I turn on the bass boost from the app and turn on ounchy bass, I leave the app to change a song The bass boost appears off in the app and I have to toggle back on seems like a bug that must be fixed in the next firmware update I guess. Other than that the button on the top works flawlessly but would like the remote option. Its definitely worth the price tag and anyone will be lucky to hear this beast of a speaker. JBL is simply the best when it comes to audio! 5 |

This headphone are a giant step up from my Sony MDR-7506's in terms of sound. I used the Sony's mainly for tracking/editing voice over and I will probably still use them for that. The Shure's are tonally quite different. The Sony's emphasize mids to an unnatural degree but make them great for finding and revealing mistakes in audio. I am not sure I would use the Shure's for reference as they do have a boost in the upper bass area away from the Harmon Target. Otherwise they are spot on and sound great with most music. There have been a few occasions where this bass boost can muddy up some songs but this is fairly rare with what I listen to. At first they clamped my head pretty tight but with some use they are becoming very comfortable. For a closed back design I think these are one of the best options for price/sound quality. Satisfied! 5 |

Sounds so much better then my Sony headphones. Lots of clarity and a warm bass. 5 |

These headphones offer all the things you want. Great bass and an app to help fine tune your sound. I’d recommend these to anyone looking for sharper sound quality and a headphone that won’t fall out when snowboarding or any other activity you find yourself doing 5 |

I connect these headphones into a Sony Playstation Vita and listen to songs using the Sony Music Unlimited application. This gives me adequate emphasis of bass to help me determine the notes which are sometimes difficult to hear and decipher. When wanting to play along to the music simultaneously using either guitar or bass, I simply plug MDR-7506 through the headphone port on subwoofer/amp combo or DI box. The Playstation Vita is then connected to auxillary port using appropriate auxillary cable. I then have the option of muting the output to the internal speaker depending on whether or not I want my neighbors to hear. MDR-7506 also come with a pouch to carry headphones and cable in. The earpads are soft which make extended listening appropriate. Though, I am fearful these pads may breakdown or tear at a faster rate or higher percentage. This is ok since the earpads themselves can be replaced without buying a complete new product. Another concern is the thin wire connection run independently to the left and right speakers. They could become caught within the sliding adjustment piece that is used to accomodate different head sizes. No worry just something to be aware and cautious of in advance. Overall, the sound is excellent with great clarity and bass. The price was just right for my budget. I wanted to splurge and spend more on this component of my system. However, after testing several other higher priced models, I simply could not justify passing up the quality this unit provided. Legitimacy confirmed! 5 |

I own the Sony XM4's and bought these to compare. They are both amazing headphones however, I feel the bass is better on the Sony's. The transparency feature on the Airpods Max outdo any other headphone on the market. You can hear clearly, unlike the XM4s which do a decent job with transparent mode but still sounds a bit muffled. Noise cancellation also does such a great job & the fit feels tight with casual movement. 5 |

This is one of the best headphones I have ever had the pleasure of owning. The refined sound signature is something that really agrees with my listening preference, practically no listening fatigue with them at all. At the same time, it's very involving with a wide and tall soundstage, rich textural mids and vocals and great bass and sub-bass extension, when called for. Perfect for any music genre really. The design and comfort is absolutely top notch as well. Note, if you prefer headphones with very strong highs/treble, these are not for you. The treble is accurate, yet laid back compared to other headphones which seem to need to shoot the treble in to your ears in the guise of being 'high resolution'. Sony really stepped it up in all respects with their Z1R headphones. They're made in an in-house artisan department within Sony as well, not mass produced. I purchased the Sony extra bass smartphone headset to use for work purposes and only wanted to spend around $20. I am using these headphones for medical transcription and they are perfect in that respect. They have a good fit and are comfortable to use for several hours at a time. If you're looking for a pair of headphones under $20, I would recommend these. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this speaker! It's impressive and everyone I've shown it too has loved it. Would be great for tailgating or any kind of party. Pros: - Great bass. Offers 2 levels of bass boost. - Easy setup. Out of box and working within a few minutes. - Portable for it's size. It's big, but has 2 solid handles and can sit upright or lay on either side. - Individual volume controls for both inputs. I used it for karaoke and this was a great setting. - Ability to play music from different sources. USB, Bluetooth, or aux cable. - Great battery life. - Simple controls. - Nice light show. Can change the colors or just turn off if it's not your thing. Cons: - Not the cleanest sound. Bass boost will drown out the highs. - Can only connect to other Party Boxes. Wish I could connect with other JBL speakers like the Charge or Flip. - I couldn't use the app. It wouldn't find the speaker. 5 |

Easy to set up. Have bass boost up in settings and nice overall sound compared to tv ... much louder and they don't break up when maxed out. 5 |
