Sony Bluetooth Transmitter & Receiver

Highly versatile and compact Bluetooth Receiver/Transmitter with built-in DAC. It has separate optical input and outputs and a dual-use coax line. The Bluetooth connectivity is solid but it might take a few tries with older Bluetooth equipment. Once you're connected, it stays connected. Highly recommended!

I'm using the transmitter mic, to my Sony A7III and the receiver...then streaming via HDMI to various meeting apps, vMix and OBS. I'm very picky about mic quality, but nice not to have my giant Mojave tube condenser mic not in the shot, and blocking my screen! My room is very highly acoustically treated, so the omnidirectional nature of the mic is not much of a negative (and Accusonus offers a nice vst plug in to remove reverb as well). Great battery life, excellent build quality. The one minor issue has been the case charging ONLY works with the short USB-C cable provided. Have tried 4-5 others, nothing!

I have the Sony UWP Lav and receiver set - but I do not have the nice little transmitter module to plug into the mic directly - the UHF synthesized transmitter. That one is added into the more expensive UWP-Vs set. With this I do not need it. I can easily switch out the lav mic from the transmitter and plug directly into mult-boxes or even other XLR mics. The price is much better and I find it quite versitile. It even weighs less and doesn't need another set of batteries. Good stuff.

Built like a tank! Weighty metal construction, distinct buttons, easy to read OLED screen, syncs up super quick with Sony URX-P03D receiver and connects via MiShoe to our Sony PXW-z150 cameras: sans wires is definitely a favorite part of this system. Lots of helpful settings in the mic. Menu is relatively easy to navigate. Mute button simple toggle on/off. We pair this transmitter up with Sennheiser MD46 for postgame interviews, etc. Crystal clear sound, good noise rejection, nice that levels can be adjusted inside the transmitter, including phantom power if necessary. Also works great for plugging into house mix AUX to send audio into camera via Sony URX-P03D receiver.

A producer who markets CDs for high school reunions encouraged me to buy this particular MD 46 mic to use because of the noisy background environments of those video jobs. We interview 50-90 people at each one of these reunions. Two years ago I could not afford the expense of the Sennheiser transmitter and receiver and waited for Rode's transmitter to be marketed separately. I just recently got the Rode Transmitter and this MD 46 mic and it works beautifully. Many of you will laugh at what I was using before-a Sony Bluetooth AW3 wireless microphone taped to a non working Karaoke microphone! These are outstanding Chap Stick size mics that are better than nothing, but no where near the quality and performance of the Sennheiser MD 46 that isolates the majority of background chatter and noise and is network quality. And here's a valuable tip that may save you the grief I had on the first job when I couldn't get the Rode transmitter to pair up with the Rode receiver: You sometimes have to push the RED button INSIDE the Rode receiver for it to pair up. Wish I had known that the first time I tried because I had to go back to the Sony Mickey Mouse Mic that night to save the show and got this tip from the Rode tech guy in their San Diego office. Bottom line, after a successful job last night with this new mic, I'm in love with the Sennheiser MD 46!

By using a Elinchrom Transmitter on my Sony A7iii camera and the El-Skyport Receiver Plus on my Elinchrom Style 600RX monolight set as a master flash, all worked as expected first time, triggering my 3 other Elinchrom monolights set as slaves. Definitely recommend this product!

I got this remote shutter release for my Sony A7r II and A6000 cameras. It works, so far flawlessly, though I don't test the range boundaries. I did make one misjudgement. I already had the two transmitter/receiver units, which I use with my Panasonic cameras. All I needed was the Sony cable connecting the receiver to the camera. Now I have a redundant pair of transmitter/receiver units.

These worked great for recording a two-person interview with my Sony a7iii mirrorless camera. The sound quality is great, even in a windy outdoor area. I had used the previous version, which were good but only had one transmitter, and these are better in every way. The biggest drawback to me is their somewhat bulky size which tends to pull on light clothing. You can always plug a small lav mic into them and hide the transmitter behind your subject's back, but that can limit the range somewhat. Also, on my Sony a7iii at least, the sound level going into the camera was quite high. With the receiver set at 0 and the camera input level set to 1 I was still getting clipping in the levels. I couldn't find any discussion online about that, so I tried setting the Rode receiver to -12db and the camera input in the middle at 14, and it sounded good. I'm not sure if that is specific to Sony cameras but it's something to be aware of. All in all the Rode is easy to use and delivers good quality sound at a great price.

Bought this because I already own the Nissin transmitter for my Sony a7r2/a7r3, using the Nissin flash with built-in receiver. Then I bought the Rotolight Aeos and didn't want to spend the money for the Elinchrom transmitter. Thought I'd try the Nissin receiver and it works great with Rotolight, including full high speed flash functionality. Unlike the Elinchrom, I can't change the color temp and brightness via the transmitter, but, for me, that's a small price to pay to save a bunch of money and still be able to use my current flash as a highlight, etc.

The transmitter & receiver combo are working great, thank you!
