I use an L-plate on all my cameras. This one fits well on new Sony RX10M4. 5 |

Don't settle for less than best lens protection. Wanted to protect my Sony RX10M4 and researched for the best protector filter. Well worth the peace of mind. 5 |

I bought Sony RX10m4 in 2017 and has been using it for over 5 years for travel photography and occasional video. It is the best bridge camera that combines reasonable quality sensor (type 1) with exceptional zoom, good build, reasonable size and weight. When I am on the go, I cannot imagine shlepping full-frame camera with all the glass and weight for a similar zoom range. Unfortunately, battery life is not great. I always carry 3 spare batteries with me. 5 |

I keep this filter in place on my Sony RX10m4 camera at all times. It provides UV reduction, of course, but it provides protection for the the large front element of the Zeiss Icon lens. Very important. 5 |

I had had my eye on the RX10M4 for a while, and I finally bought it in the face of threats that it was to be discontinued. That seemed to be true at first, with Sony's website showing the camera no longer available. I see just now, though, it seems to be available again from Sony, so I don't know what to think. I've only had the RX10M4 for a month and I haven't been able to shoot with it as much as I'd like, but my initial bottom line: An incredibly capable camera, with a somewhat intimidating user interface that is probably in part due to its very capability. I'll let true photo experts speak to specifics, but to me the camera seems to be vastly higher performing than my previous superzoom, an FZ-series 1/2.3 sensor Panasonic (which is itself good for what it is). The Zeiss lens is bright and sharp, with an insanely long reach. Autofocus is fast and accurate, even on moving targets. Basic controls and handling are good and largely intuitive. Viewfinder and rear screen are large and informative. Even low light/higher ISO performance seems decent. I have not tried video yet, so I can't speak to that. The menu and configuration interface are a bit daunting, though this is partly due to the blizzard of configuration and mode options and controls that help make the camera so versatile. (I am also not the most experienced photographer, so someone more familiar with enthusiast equipment may find things easier). I bought Alexander White's aftermarket RX10M4 user guide, and it's proving very helpful with learning the camera. I would not mark down the RX10 for the interface, as I'm sure I and any other enthusiastic photographer will eventually sort things out. In the meantime, the camera's auto, scene, and program modes seem to be a good stopgap. In short, if you're concerned the RX10M4 might go away, get one while you can. You'll be happy. 5 |

I have a disability that makes it difficult to manually zoom my Sony RX10M4. As a result I carry several batteries. These batteries perform well under the stress I put on them. 5 |

After several years of enjoying the Sony RX10M3 I upgraded to the Sony RX10M4 and have not regretted the decision. It is the same great, flexible package with an improved focus system and the ability to shoot 24 frames per second. The all in one package lets me carry a multitude of capabilities on long hikes. 5 |
