Sony Dsr Pd150 Professional 3Ccd Minidv Video Camera

Bought it to use with my Sony DSR-450, since the camera doesn't have a regular shoe mount, but a 1/4-20 thread instead. A very well made, solid product, made out of metal, not plastic. Great buy! A perfect solution for mounting a video light on top of a camera.

I have an older Canon MiniDV camcorder that we still use to shoot video of the kids, however, the original batteries stopped holding a charge and the two Duracell camera batteries I bought to replace them didn't fare much better. This battery was less expensive than many replacements I've found and once it's charged, it lasts a very long time...probably the last battery we'll need for this camera.

who ever say'd that your horrible with cameras this is the simplest camera to use and one of the best in the 3ccd and im 15 i know more this is a great camera and i would recommand to everyone!

I do professional videography but I started out years ago shooting on a Pentax K1000 film camera. I bought the a6000 primarily for shooting video with a large sensor camera. This camera is fantastic. At around $500 there is nothing that comes close in features and it has a aps C sensor which is found in 90% of all dslr and mirrorless cameras. I’ve seen canon 1” sensor point ant shoot cameras for hundreds more. I shoot low light wedding videos on this camera and the video looks fantastic. It also shoots video in Sony’s xavc 50 mbps format which is found on Sony cameras and pro camcorders costing thousands more. This small camera is a beast!

With my Sony HXR cameras you have to have real Sony batteries. They do not read right or charge right. With my DSR 250's I could use knock off batteries just fine. The cost a lot but they work well and accurate.

This cable is more than adequate for my needs. I use it as an auxiliary power supply off the NRG transformer I use for my Sony DSR-250. The only drawback is that it doesn't use heavy-duty cable. It's simply two-pole, almost zip-cord. I don't know how rugged it will prove to be.

They are used on Sony DSR PD170 camcorders. The switch is pressure sensitive which allows you to manually control the zoom. I really cant say anything negative. They are exactly what we needed for a reasonable price.

It's getting harder to find miniDV tapes. The Sony miniDV tape works well for dubbing or making a master that's time-coded (if you're working with 1920:1080 or 720x480 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio). For me, miniDV tapes serve a useful, intermediate step in the process of converting some old VHS tapes, where cataloging or identifying specific frames or ranges is desirable.
