Sony E Pz 18 105Mm Review

I am really enjoying the Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4. I have never used a lens with constant f/stop. I love the power zoom part of the lens.

This case fits my Sony FX30 camera with 18-105mm PZ lens attached perfectly. I still have room for a few spare batteries and a few other accessories too. Like with all Portabrace products, this case is extremely well made and will sure to last a very long time, and it's made in the USA, you just can't beat that.

The E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens works perfectly with my Sony A6000. I spent a day reading about and watching video reviews. This day of studying paid off! Clicked this lens on to my A6000 body and now... my photography life has heightened. I may occassionally still use my original Sony 35mm (which I purchased for portrait use) but this 18-105mm excels in some ways for portrait use too! The 18-105mm is superb for video use, too, according to my research. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I used to have - and not like - the E-PZ 18-105mm f/4 lens for my FX-30. While it’s great to have constant f/4 and a motorized zoom, its downfall is the absolutely giant minimum focus distance at higher zoom. No such problem with the E 18-135, it can focus super close at any zoom. The variable aperture is no issue as the depth of focus at higher zoom is super shallow anyhow. And then you get the range up to 135mm! If they had a motorized zoom version of this it would be perfect.

Works great, I was able to balance a Sony FS5 with the 18-105mm.

I picked up a Sony PZ 18-105 F4 and needed a UV protector for an upcoming trip. The UV filter was perfectly clear. My photos from the National Cathedral and other places on the trip came out fine no matter what range I was on with the lens.

I used this for my spare lens when hiking. It fit my sony 18-105mm just about right w/ a little play.

I use this to get my 77mm Genustech variable ND onto my Sony 18-105mm lens.

Used to step up from my Sony 18-105mm lens to my Canon D500 closeup lens.

I have a few E lens for the A6500 but this is my favorite. The range is great (18-105), OSS works really well, the PZ function is really great for video and so is the constant f/4 ! Just when you think what else can i ask for .. this lens gives you all internal focus and zooming. So, nothing moves external to the lens body which i really love (just like the amazing 70-200 lens). The AF and zoom rings work well (albeit by-wire) and for stills, it is pretty sharp even at f/4 which i use almost exclusively. Sony built another great lens here and it works great for travel photography on the A6500 too.
