Sony Extra Bass Headphones Gaming
Sandy from Sarasota | 2024-05-02 03:34:12 |
I purchased the Sony extra bass smartphone headset to use for work purposes and only wanted to spend around $20. I am using these headphones for medical transcription and they are perfect in that respect. They have a good fit and are comfortable to use for several hours at a time. If you're looking for a pair of headphones under $20, I would recommend these. 5 |

Sounds so much better then my Sony headphones. Lots of clarity and a warm bass. 5 |

Cheap, VERY comfortable, and despite *strong* bass, it's not overpowering. I bought these to use while gaming and as a second reference while mixing music. The bass is strong and definitely forward, but not overpowering. It's pleasing to the ear. The mids and high mids seem well balanced, which is where it matter most in my opinion. Build quality is good. Nothing cheap about them. I really have to say a second time how comfortable they are. My old studio monitor headphones were unbearable after about forty minutes. These can be worn for hours at a time with no discomfort at all. The faux leather on the ear cups is also holding up nicely after owning these for about two years. No cracking or fraying. I've owned a handful of headphones over the years for mixing, listening, and gaming and these are my favorites in terms of comfort by a factor of ten. 5 |

Simply great headphones. No bass enhancement, no extra tinkle, just accurate dependable headphones. Frequently I wear them for 3-4 hours at a time without fatigue, ear pain or sweating. There is a reason you will see pro studio people wearing these. Accuracy, comfort and consistency. 5 |

I have only about 7 hours on these phones, so I would still consider them being in the break-in period. Observations so far: they sound musical. What I mean is that they sound like the music is coming directly from the instruments, not through headphones. If you've ever used a pair of inferior cans, you know exactly what I mean. The sound is natural, and frequency response appears to be quite flat. These headphones do NOT have any extra bass or heavy EQ that ruin the purity of the audio material. The fit is tight but comfortable, and insulation from the ambient environment is very good. These cans are built better than my old Sony MDR-V6, which also sound neutral, natural, and pure. If you like pure music without silly things like extra bass or other sound-ruining gadgets, I would give these cans a try. 5 |

These are the standard reference headphones for audiophiles. You get them for exactly that reason. No extra bass, no extra treble, just the music as intended 5 |

I connect these headphones into a Sony Playstation Vita and listen to songs using the Sony Music Unlimited application. This gives me adequate emphasis of bass to help me determine the notes which are sometimes difficult to hear and decipher. When wanting to play along to the music simultaneously using either guitar or bass, I simply plug MDR-7506 through the headphone port on subwoofer/amp combo or DI box. The Playstation Vita is then connected to auxillary port using appropriate auxillary cable. I then have the option of muting the output to the internal speaker depending on whether or not I want my neighbors to hear. MDR-7506 also come with a pouch to carry headphones and cable in. The earpads are soft which make extended listening appropriate. Though, I am fearful these pads may breakdown or tear at a faster rate or higher percentage. This is ok since the earpads themselves can be replaced without buying a complete new product. Another concern is the thin wire connection run independently to the left and right speakers. They could become caught within the sliding adjustment piece that is used to accomodate different head sizes. No worry just something to be aware and cautious of in advance. Overall, the sound is excellent with great clarity and bass. The price was just right for my budget. I wanted to splurge and spend more on this component of my system. However, after testing several other higher priced models, I simply could not justify passing up the quality this unit provided. Legitimacy confirmed! 5 |

I own the Sony XM4's and bought these to compare. They are both amazing headphones however, I feel the bass is better on the Sony's. The transparency feature on the Airpods Max outdo any other headphone on the market. You can hear clearly, unlike the XM4s which do a decent job with transparent mode but still sounds a bit muffled. Noise cancellation also does such a great job & the fit feels tight with casual movement. 5 |

This is one of the best headphones I have ever had the pleasure of owning. The refined sound signature is something that really agrees with my listening preference, practically no listening fatigue with them at all. At the same time, it's very involving with a wide and tall soundstage, rich textural mids and vocals and great bass and sub-bass extension, when called for. Perfect for any music genre really. The design and comfort is absolutely top notch as well. Note, if you prefer headphones with very strong highs/treble, these are not for you. The treble is accurate, yet laid back compared to other headphones which seem to need to shoot the treble in to your ears in the guise of being 'high resolution'. Sony really stepped it up in all respects with their Z1R headphones. They're made in an in-house artisan department within Sony as well, not mass produced. It's rare seeing a pair of headphones that genuinely shine in almost every regard. But with the WH-1000XM3, Sony has created an indisputable winner, a categorically top-notch set of cans whose only shortcoming is the absence of 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, something we hardly ever see outside of the gaming market. They do have Bluetooth, though, so as long as you have a smart TV, an Nvidia Shield, a gaming laptop, or a Bluetooth-capable motherboard, you should be set for the reclusive world of active noise canceling. Unlike other noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM3 use an unusually silent QN1 HD noise-canceling processor. In our testing, we found it was able to keep out most sounds, even on the crowded New York City subway. The battery does take a hit for this, but you can take solace in the fact that the WH-1000XM3 last 30 hours fully charged. After 10 minutes of being plugged in via USB-C, Sony claims they can deliver pristine high fidelity sound over five hours. And, to top it all off, volume and playback commands are touch-based. Goodbye forever, inline controls. Image 1 of 6 5 |
