Sony Gaming Headphones Surround

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been playing computer video games right after the invention of the wheel in every configuration possible in both video and audio. I went from a highfalutin 5.1 surround system to mutiple experiments with 2.1 systems.but nothing engaged me fully in the gaming until now. Set up was again very easy with the dongle connection to the computers USB, download the JBL Quantum app and you are at the starting gate. Click on the 7.1 channel set up and it will launch a video on how to configure the headphones with Windows.This is when the fun starts. Press test after configuration and you will hear the 7.1 surround test pattern swirling around your head.Very cool. It took a little while for my brain to adapt to the ambience that these headphone provide and doing so wirelessly! Footsteps, voices in various enviroments, shot gun blast, and explosions, drew me into the game.Soon the headphones disappered and the gaming expierence became more pronouced and involving. Even my old games that I played over a million times had a new lease on life. But wait theres more. Besides my music library in my computer, I also stream music. Now I can listen to music with these headphones without being tied down to the computer. In fact the distance from the computer was very very impressive. Did I like these? Absolutly killer for gaming and music! They have not left my head!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Positives: JBL Quantum 400 is a solid gaming headset with excellent build and top notch sound quality. The build quality of JBL never disappoints. The quantum surround sound will give you the surround sound experience and is the best part of the headphones. You can customize your sound experience with the app. The microphone works perfect.The headphones worked perfect with my Xbox One. This headset gives immersive gaming experience you need. Negatives: None but if nitpicking, the sound cable can be little longer.

Coming from the Sony MDR-HW700 home theatre headphones it is truly astounding to experience true surround virtualisation. The Sonys did an ok job at mimicking and simulating a wide sound field with non surround signal and when inputting surround had a decent effect, but the JVC is next level. The sound stage it creates with its technology based on a unique scan of your ears and space make all the difference. Listening to actual surround signal feels accurate and truly Immersive. It's an added bonus that these support full atmos and dts signal amd with that coming through these headphones really shine through with their full potential. If you have the budget and need a headphone driven home theatre solution, do not go anywhere else. You need these.

It's rare seeing a pair of headphones that genuinely shine in almost every regard. But with the WH-1000XM3, Sony has created an indisputable winner, a categorically top-notch set of cans whose only shortcoming is the absence of 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, something we hardly ever see outside of the gaming market. They do have Bluetooth, though, so as long as you have a smart TV, an Nvidia Shield, a gaming laptop, or a Bluetooth-capable motherboard, you should be set for the reclusive world of active noise canceling. Unlike other noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM3 use an unusually silent QN1 HD noise-canceling processor. In our testing, we found it was able to keep out most sounds, even on the crowded New York City subway. The battery does take a hit for this, but you can take solace in the fact that the WH-1000XM3 last 30 hours fully charged. After 10 minutes of being plugged in via USB-C, Sony claims they can deliver pristine high fidelity sound over five hours. And, to top it all off, volume and playback commands are touch-based. I bought this UPS for peace of mind, mostly for my gaming rig but also for the TV and surround sound. The power supply has more then enough bandwidth to run a 750w pc power supply and other peripherals.

Got then 2 weeks ago, tried them out wired to my computer. The bass is really noticably awesome and the surround sound for gaming is phenomenal. They're much smaller and slimmer than they look in photos which is nice. Super comfortable ear cups! If your using for gaming note that it obviously doesn't have a mic. All around the best headset I've ever owned, I'm sure there are better out there but not at this price point. (Also I don't have an amp and the sound is amazing already!)

The hardwaree combined with the Quantum SURROUND software for the PC (via a 2.4GHz type C connection dongle) is far superior compared to Bluetooth for wireless gaming and surround sound listening. I couldn't believe the improved submersive effect over other ear buds and even some gaming headphones I have used. JBL really hit it out of the park with this product!
