Sony Handheld Video Camera

This is a great product. I tried it on a handheld video camera device and my ipad. The sound was very clear.

Finding the perfect camera for gimbal and handheld video has always been a challenge. As a pro who deals with highly diverse projects that require great flexibility along with amazing quality right out of the camera, I am thrilled with the results I have realized with the ZV-E1. Having said that, I think the combination of the body with Sony's G Master lenses has made the difference between good and great shots. Those who use gimbals regularly know that a zoom lens is really not practical on the gimbal; with Sony's clear zoom and a prime G Master lens the results are amazing. For me, the Sony G Master 24 mm prime and the Sony G master 35 mm are all I've needed for the results I want. While I have experienced a few overheating issues, the type of content I shoot with this camera allows for a cool down time, and while it may be annoying, it hasn't caused any production issues for me. The stabilization and auto focus are exceptional; my handheld content looks as stable as what I shoot on the gimbal. It's not the answer for every type of filming situation I produce, but for what I need this for, it's ideal. It's always the same - the right tool for the right job, and it will be the right tool for many applications in my studio.

Been trying to balance out my rig for handheld run and gun video. I love this very balanced on camera and ran all day with 5R, monitor and fill light.

I bought it for my handheld video camera. It's soft shape and velcro close on top protected it while traveling. I also liked that it didn't scream I have a video camera in this bag.

Traveling to Brazil, I needed a small recording setup that would help me make decent video of the visit. I used the bracket with a Canon Vixia HF 700 camera and a Rode VideoMic Pro with Rycote Lyre Shockmount. Recorded about 10 hours of footage in four consecutive days and got to know the setup very well. Takes a minute or two to attach, but then stays secure and solid. With the equipment I used, the bracket has a nice balance. It is comfortable to hold and easy to carry. The 'natural carry position' is easier to use than with the camera only, and allowed me to make much steadier shots when working handheld. I found myself walking around with the bracket in my hand all day, and not tiring of it. I'm a high school video teacher. Having bought this bracket for myself, I now plan to buy several more for my classroom. It is a simple and inexpensive addition to my recording setup. It helped me keep the camera ready to use at a moment's notice, and helped me make steady handheld videos.

I use this in handheld mode for shooting video and in this mode you can still set down with camera attached. Short monopod mode is perfect length to use while sitting down and also point shooting mode also excellent. point shoot mode is also same as tripod mode which is also great to position shots with timer allowing you to perfectly frame a shot. Overall very pleased and for very little money it is a very good deal.

I'm using this to connect a shotgun mic into a small, handheld video camera to video meetings. The thing that's great about this is that the mic fits into the XLR connector AND, if that weren't enought, the 3.5mm mini jack FITS INTO THE CAMERA'S input. It's like it was designed to do just that! Amazing! Believe all the hype you've heard with this one!

I purchased this for use by the military to protect a handheld video camera. It was very important that the case be airtight, or maintain a respectable seal as our working environment and storage area is very wind-blown and dusty. We also desired a high level of insulation to protect the contents from damages occurring as a result of jarring, being dropped or even sat on...this little case does it all at a great price! We chose orange for high visibility and easy identification. It looks and functions very well and far exceeds anything I could buy off-the-shelf at a camera retailer.

Great mic for use with a handheld camera.
