Sony Hdr As50 Action Cam Digital Video Camera

Not much to review here...� Bought this as a spare battery for my Sony HDR - AS20 Action Cam...� Seems to work as advertised...

I use this battery with my PMW-F3 sony camera. I also use other sony batteries for my digital camera and digital video cam. All SONY batteries last longer and get charged fast. But they are somewhat expensive.

I use this as a back up battery to the one that came with my Sony Action Cam (and it less expensive than the Sony one that came with the camera).

This makes battery life so much better for my Sony action cam

Great battery charger! I use it to charge my Sony batteries for my HDR-CX560V and it works great. Especially enjoy the lights to let you know the state of the charge. That way you're secure in knowing weather you have a full charge or not when you're ready to go. I like to have a few batteries with me and this charger is handy for having spares charging while you have another one on the cam. The only other way to charge is on the cam, so if you're using multiple batteries throughout the day, this charger is a must.

I use this mic on a Sony HDR-HC9 and a Panasonic AG-DVC30. This is actually the first add on mic I have ever used on a video camera, so I am giving my comparison based only against the onboard camera mics. And compared to the ones that are on these two cameras the Rode is at least a 5X improvement.

I bought this for my Sony HDR-CX160 video camera based on other reviews and used it this past week to film a volleyball tournament. It worked really well with very minimal fish eye effect. You can't turn the camera very fast with steady shot on because you will see parts of the lens in the camera if you do. If you can leave the camera still or turn it slowly you will never see the sides of the lens in the video. Zoom worked fine as well with no problems. Lens material seems to be very good quality. You won't regret purchasing it if you need to get a wider angle to get more area in the picture zone.

We got this as a b-cam to our main Sony FS5...so the menus are familiar, everything I need manually is handy. Excellent quality images, and good zoom rocker for following action. One issue: I wish the record button was placed differently, or had a safety lock - too easy to accidentally turn off recording during action of zooming with natural grip. Also a funny: 1 day out of the box on a gig, and the LCD screen kept blanking out; wasn’t until later that I realized someone behind me was passing close enough to eye sensor to turn on viewfinder/shut off LCD! Needs a menu setting to turn off the sensor. Going to be flying this on a Tilta Gavity G2X soon.

Still the best option for an Action cam!

This action cam is a great low cost item for those who don't want to spend $+. The video quality is looks good. Buying the cam here also makes sure you are not getting a fake. It comes with a ton of attachments and it can fit most go pro attachments. So if you are a college student like me and your looking for a cheaper way to record all the crazy moments get this cam!
