Sony Headphone Keep Switching Over To Ambient Sound

Over the ear headphones reduce ambient noise. Sound quality is very good for mono headphones.

This AT headphone is SUPERB sound and fully blocking of ambient noise. The bass, mid and treble are really well managed and it's a joy to use. I tried alot of different ones and these by far where exceptional.

I'm a headphone snob. I prefer the larger, over ear ones, with more ambient sound reduction but decided to get this smaller pair. Man, these sounds great.

I like grain, speed, and ambient light. This film is perfect for me. Keep in mind that this is a very grainy film, so don't expect to get a beautiful portrait for your modeling portfolio with it. Use it wisely and embrace the grain. Shoot in foggy or smoky situations to exaggerate it.

I bought the Sony ECM-XYST1M Stereo mic to pick up ambient sound while recording video on my Sony a6300. I've only used it in exterior locations with the wind sock attached and have been very pleased so far. I set the LOW CUT filter switch of the mic to ON, the camera audio setting to AUTO and position the adjustable microphones to their 'shotgun' position. The mic is fully integrated with the camera through the hot shoe mount which means there are no cables to get in the way. It's a clean, no hassle set up. There is an isolation system built into the chassis of the mic and it seems to work well. Bumps and other handling noises from operating the camera have been minimal. The sound comes out clean and natural. But the sound pattern surely seems to be more of an omni directional type of pattern than that of a cardioid type. Nevertheless, the sound is always natural and clean coming from all directions. Plus...I'm using this mic for ambient sound...so there! I think this little mic offers a lot of bang for the buck and I can say I've been pleasantly surprised by its performance. It is well worth the money!

I used with my Tascam DR-40 for field recording. This headphone reduce the ambient noise and I can monitor my incoming signal clearly.

I have both Sennheiser & Koss headphones before but Sennheiser has always fit me the best. I needed a Pro headphone that would really, really filter out outside ambient noise because of the recording of the show that takes place in an animal shelter. The Sennheiser HD280 Pro sounds great and more importantly eliminates just about all outside ambient wonderfully. And the headphones sound great with my A/V receiver to boot!!

Perfect for a DSRL ambient sound recording.
