i a bit of a headphone enthusiast, being a musician. i have ultrasone studio headphones, westone w3 in-ear-monitors, blue mo-fis, and various others. i was stuck in NYC recently and needed some headphones that played a bit better with some studio gear i had picked up, so i decided to take a chance on the GRADO SR80es. i'd heard about grados for years, but hadn't wanted to play around with open-back headphones. as soon as i tried them on in B&H i was sold. it's true that the SR80es don't have the pounding, overprocessed bass of something like, i guess, an Apple Beats headphone might have. but in terms of overall sound quality - blend, balance, sense of SPACE. these things absolutely amaze in those categories. i can't believe the quality of sound for $100. the open-back nature of the phones delivers an entirely different listening experience. wider, more open than anything i'd heard previously. yes, sound leak is a thing - you won't be able to listen to these on an airplane or in bed next to your significant other without them hearing plenty. and yes, sound will 'leak' IN as well, but i personally enjoy that. walking around NYC with the sounds of the city blending in to the music i was listening to - adds a new element and also adds the bonus of hearing the trash truck just before it runs me over. 5 |

By far the xm3 is the best headphone I had. It reproduces truly beautiful sounds. It's a must have from Sony! 5 |

For those of us replacing thousands of dollars worth of UHF mics which are about to become obsolete, this is a surprisingly robust choice. I've tested four of these (at the same time) in NYC (mid-town Manhattan) as well as in downtown Washington DC , and they are flawless. Per other reviewers, you can hear a bit of latency if you're monitoring the receiver output in real time, but so far, it hasn't shown-up on the actual video playback. The other most-frequent complaint I saw in the reviews was frequency interference (dropouts or complete loss of audio) in large auditoriums. Since I always work in smaller venues (only up to large conference rooms), I took a chance on these and ended up buying four, as my test results remained 100% positive in the smaller venues (even in NYC & DC). Just be sure to use the Sony-supplied cable between the receiver and your camera (or from each of multiple receivers to your usual splitter to your camera), as you need 25db to 35db of attenuation which is built-in to the Sony-supplied cable. Thanks to a couple of other reviewers for mentioning this in passing. 5 |

The b&h store in NYC, I was persuaded to buy this lens instead of the kit lens on the Sony a6000. For my niche, travel photos, this lens is amazing. It still has the potential for a low enough f stop to create cool focuses, but can get wide frame shots as well as dramatically zoomed in shots. Love it so much, the colors are beautiful 5 |

Love B&H. Only store in NYC that carried accessories for my Sony alpha! Bought this flash to shoot my boss's birthday party, worked like a dream! I love that I can adjust it. 5 |

I've had this lens a little over a year and I didn't use it much and kinda wished I had bought the Sony equivalent, that is until about 6 months ago. I don't know why I covered a lens double the price of this workhorse! I shoot a lot in NYC and last month I did a doors off helicopter flight to get top down shots of my favorite NYC icons. I was shooting during the blue hour, through helicopter vibration and shutter speed between 1/100-1/125 and I could not be happier with the results. I didn't expect the sharpness all the way down to street level which was over 1,000' in some cases. 5 |

I guess this will come to no shock to anyone but Sony has done it again. I can't tell you how blowed away I am over all that they have changed to make this headphone better than anything on the market. Making these headphone lighter and adding that new chipset that made the N/C and sound better was the end to all debates about who was truly the best in the world for N/c headphones. The previous one caused me a lot of Migraines and dizziness because of it's clamping and overall weight but these are unlike anything I could have hope for. Thank you so much Sony for making the most complete and best N/C headphone in the world. The bass is the thumping without interfering with the highs and mids. The soundstage is the best I've heard for closed back headphones. I have been listening all sorts of headphones and earphones and these headphones have created the most detailed of all of them. I also love the call quality this time around vs the previous model. Finally I can talk on the phone without the other person complaining about the clarity. They even made Google assistant almost instant. 5 |
