The HAUC Active Stereo Headphone Control Box by Whirlwind fits the bill perfectly for studio headphone control. Easily mounted under the desk, it is a solid piece of gear. In my studio, I have several headphone locations branching off a multi-headphone amp. Using the HAUC, i am able to give each user a choice of 3.5 mm and 1/4 jacks, and full volume control. Installation was a breeze with four screws. At my news-talk table, I have daisy-chained three thanks to the dual jacks in the back, and each still has its own volume control. Love this thing. I use it for recording my podcast interviews when I have multiple guest. Love the fact that they can control their headphone volume, it takes up very little space and the fact that all of the adapters were included. Never heard of Polsen before HP and can't find this item anywhere else but I like. I plug it into the mic input of my microphone preamp and it works perfectly. 5 |

It's a great headphone amplifier, but what's also nice is it has one output for monitor speakers, with a volume knob control. We send this to the powered speakers in our school's edit lab, making it very easy to adjust volume independently to the headphones or the speakers at our Instructor station iMac. 5 |

Pros: -Removes hiss from my sony and astell daps. -Provides more control on volume. Now the lowest volume on my astell dap isn't ear bleeding loud on my andromedas. -Sound is the same, can't really tell if there is any difference. Cons: -A bit pricey but it is well built metal (I thought it was plastic because it was so light). All in all does everything I wanted it to do. This listing is the new ieMatch+ with the improved cable design. B&H should update the listing name. 5 |
