Initially on the fence between the other companies. So happy that I went with Sony

My Sony headphones look like new! AMAZING!!!

I mount my Sony camcorder on this tripod and use it mostly to shoot employees promoting our companies products.

Sony does it again and I think all the other camera companies should keep up. Here is a 50 1.4 that performs like a MEGA fast 1.2. I have this on a ZV E1 and the autofocus is lightening fast, I mean crazy fast. Thank you B&H for all you guys and girls do! I am a customer for life! You really take care of your customers and that's why I refuse to shop anywhere else for camera gear.

If companies like DJI and Bytedance were not enough to convince you that China can now build competitive technology, maybe this one will. The central portion of the frame is delivering peak resolution, rendering every little pixel sharply. There's visible vignetting. CA is surprisingly low, much lower than what I experienced with Sony's non-GM 85mm. Talking about Sony's own, this lens is smaller, lighter, optically better and more functional. The only thing I can think of to Somy's favour is auto-focus performance, Somy being faster, more precise and quieter. The side function button is configurable , I mapped it to engage eye tracking focus, and it's super convenient. Now on the real talk - I have filters that costed more than this. At the price, this lens didn't have to be this good, but it is. In a world with excellent phone camera, the industry needs to provide state-of-the-art IQ at affordable prices in order to remain an attractive hobby, otherwise camera will be at risk of becoming limited to professionals. This is the kind of product that enables enthusiasts to produce high quality images without breaking the bank.

Works for zoom on a few different companies' worth of cameras, pretty smoothly and at a good default variable speed range. For 2/3rd more price, you get the legit Sony one which offers focus control and different speed settings as well, but having used both, the Libec is totally great for the zoom job, and it's unlikely anyone's really depending on those little focus buttons on Sony's...

I have a Sony screen-dvd105 handycam. Bought several other batteries from other companies that didn't work. Well I guess third times a charm. Works great!!!!

All the optical companies are coming out with these expensive no compromise prime lenses. The Sony/Zeiss partnership may have sparked some of that. Of course I would love to own this lens and the images it produces will be exceptional. But a 105mm f/1.4 portrait lens? No, not unless your portraits are of cardboard cut-outs. Your DOF won't reach from the nose to the ear with this lens. Generally, people like to have at least most of their face in focus for a portrait. So we're up around f/5.6 or f/8. Already got that covered with the 105 Micro or the 70-200, and they both have VR.
