Sony Headphones Disconnecting Randomly From Mac

I was using a less expensive enclosure that was disconnecting randomly. So far this is working great, and it looks nicer too.

I partitioned this so that I can use it on both mac and pcs. It works just fine, the cord connections are stable (unlike my old Lacie that kept disconnecting in the middle of a back-up) and it's relatively quick.

I bought these randomly, I mean I've never paid this much for headphones but wow! Game changer, I'm hooked.

I had been using the cheaper Hosa 1/4 Y-cable and was randomly experiencing brief audio drop-outs in our headphones. At first I thought it might have been our personal headphone monitor (which is connected to one of the female jacks on this y-cable via a long-run 1/4 cable), but ever since swapping out for this Kopul y-cable, we haven't experienced any drops in audio (knock on wood). The post connections also just feel a bit tighter and the gold plating doesn't hurt I'm sure.

I was blown away by the sound quality on these light cheap headphones I randomly picked up at B&H while on a film run. I've had them for almost a year, they're very durable and can just be tossed into a bag without worrying. Really good for traveling, working out, and I'd even go so far as to say they're good for recording too. The biggest issue (if you'd even call it that) is the sound leakage, as in once you get a little bit past moderate volume levels people around you can fully hear what you're listening to. Definitely caused a few awkward music moments for me haha. I'd still say these are perfect :)

I wasn't sure which of the three available sizes to buy for my Sony NEX-5R camera and randomly chose this medium size. Just one word: perfect! I have successfully removed dust particles from the sensor and the lenses, hence the artifacts in the pictures are gone now. The blower produces just the right amount of air needed to get the job done. I haven't tried other two sizes offered by Giottos, but this one has been proven to work.

It works as advertised. So far, no problem with it disconnecting.

I have my Grado Prestige Series SR80e Headphones plugged into my Mac at all times. I have a varied taste in music and these headphones make all my musical choices come through better than ever. I can hear background singers and instruments I never could before. Amazing. And the headphones are completely comfortable to wear for hour after hour. Which is great for all my uses for them on my computer.
